RE: Ff you could have one thing in the next update it would be…
As I am continuing reading my manuals, I have not noticed something yet that I do wish for. Being able to destroy enemy aircraft on the ground. Since this kind of 'OCA" strike is common practice when engaging in air to ground conflicts, the purpose is to reduce the enemies capacity to launch aircraft against you and reduce there “over all” inventory. This tactic was used in the first Gulf War, as well as the second. So, what I would like to see is more “parked” aircraft on airbases (both enemy and friendly) that can be destroyed from the air. Also, when a parked aircraft is destroyed, the loss of said aircraft reduces the squadron inventory. This would also include heavies with supplies. A reduction in your “slammer” inventory (for example) could be the result.
And I agree that camp inventory should fluctuate. For example, say 120c inventory is low, bu the 120b inventory is good. Just like way back in the day of Falcon 2.0
I second this. That is something that long ago I wished for.

RE: Accounting system in campaigns in 4.33
As an aside, try checking out the photos of the pilots when looking at sqaudron info, for any squadron. Except for the picture of the first pilot, all the rest have been apparently cloned and are the same lady.

The ability to see numerical amounts of each weapon in stock for each squadron, and fuel amounts (not just “high” or “low” but for example 37 AIM-120Cs)
-
The ability to issue new orders to aircraft while in flight from the 2D map (ie tell that nearby flight to intercept some incoming MiGs off to the side, or alter some of the steerpoints to avoid new threats)
-
The ability to see friendly radar coverage and friendly air defense ranges on the 2D map, not just enemy radar ranges and radar

Antialiasing for tactical reference models

RE: Campaign targets have in game function?
Thanks for the replies!
Regarding removing the campaign morale penalty for not flying the aircraft for too long, I asked a question ages ago when playing F4:AF, and was told that the way to do it was to name a file BFOPS.cfg, and include this line in it:
set g_nNoPlayerPlay 120
Does this trick work for BMS as well? And is there any way to eliminate the global morale modifier that comes as a result of my personal success or failure in my missions?

Campaign targets have in game function?
Just as a general question, in the campaign, are there essentially useless targets which the ATO schedules, or does everything serve some sort of actual in-game purpose? For example, does a supply depot actually do anything, such as providing actual supplies, or is it just there for show? Does hitting power plants or ammunition factories actually affect war production, or hitting sea ports mean ships can’t unload supplies there? I know hitting air bases will make it so planes can’t take off, hitting bridges will mean they can’t be crossed, but I wondered if someone with knowledge of the campaign mechanics could tell me about the effects of hitting some of these other targets.
As another question, I know in the past playing Falcon 4 that the performance of allied units in the campaign was disproportionately affected by my personal performance in missions. For example, If I flew frequently and succeeded in my missions, then I would notice in the campaign that allied pilots would win air to air battles most of the time, ground units would win engagements, etc, but if I did not fly or failed my missions, then all the allied units would become incompetent. This was a big turnoff for me, can anyone confirm whether this feature still exists, and if so, if there is a way to turn it off? I would prefer not to have my personal success or failure affect some global performance modifier for all allied units.
I am getting back into Falcon after a many, many years absence, I played massive amounts of F4:AF, but never got into BMS because I didn’t feel like paying $50 for some used copy of Falcon 4.0 on Amazon from some random stranger, but now I got it on gog.com for $10 and am looking forward to getting back into the action!
