Hi!
We just don’t want to get into trouble when play this theater in the mainland China. Because this topic or related games are very sensitive in the mainland China. especially under the current situation.
I think we live in the mainland China also have the right to play BMS as you so called “westerners and/or free peoples of the world” have. We love BMS too. We have same VFW with NATO alike “SOP” too. we love it since 1998. We have good relationship with our Japan VFW friends and Taiwan FOX3 VFS friends .
I’m just expressing my caution. No any offence to anyone! We appreciate TW theather DEv team for their dedication. and I’ll also help with the rest of campaigns, I promise. As you mentioned above: “go one further: ROC and The ChiComs” if someday US-gov has enough guts to cut off the diplomatic relationship with PRC and resume diplomatic relationship with ROC(Carter drops KMT ROC in the 1979 in favour of ChiComs), no longer see PRC as a legitimate government of China:), I’ll raise both hands to agree with your " ROC and The ChiComs" description. Otherwise calling ROC and PRC is an neutral description for both side. The most correct definition of history. It’s just a basic history of Chinese Civil war. like the era of division in Chinese history
if you go further with ROC and The ChiComs with an insulting tone , i think we may get into trouble when play this theater in the mainland China. I think you can understand
Sorry for about too much politics, It’s against the rules of the forum. I will stop it.
sure, to each his own.
But since you brought up USA diplomatic status and world recognition as your datum, I wonder then, what did you call the Baltic States during the Cold War? Soviet Union? Because the USA (and NATO) did not recognize the USSR annexing them. Your position on Israel’s borders? Cause … ya know, that’s an iffy one (for some people, not me).
These are hypotheticals, don’t answer them herein because like you said, not a political forum.
BTW, I was not the one who introduced the politics - I only addressed it. You brought it up when you made the comment about delicately naming ROC/Taiwan.
I’m gonna guess that you’d probably comply with wishes to address folks by their desired pronouns, but won’t call Taiwan the real China if that’s what they would want to be called. It is always fascinating how people can invoke one set of nomenclature towards one direction and somehow get away with it, and whenever they other set is pushed, they block it by throwing the political off limits card. Touché. You win. I quit.
