RE: SA-6 test in saved TE
@Nightflyer I’d say that is very funny, because they all started to blow up one after another!

SA-6 test in saved TE
After hitting the straight flush with the AGM-65A adjacent vehicles started bursting into flames! I can understand if adjacent fuel tanks do that but why the vehicles when they are far apart?

RE: TD box in DTOS
@JollyFE said in TD box in DTOS:
@Alfred I’ll let one of our “Avionics Experts” chime in for the final answer to this question, but once you TMS-Up the Target Designator box should be locked to that particular coordinate. Try TMS-Down to unlock, move to a new position and then TMS-Up again.
its not related to TMS up, once I select DTOS from AG menu the TD box appear and it can be slewed. If the anomaly appears I click AG off & on to make it go and it works that way back to normal.

TD box in DTOS
the TD box moves freely when AG-DTOS is selected but once I attempt to attack a target the box can no longer be slewed !! is that a bug or a possibly hardware issue?
edit: not related to procedure of attacking a target, behaviour appears randomly

is it possible in Mideast 128 ?
I flew between towers in Kuwait and obviously I was not touching any cement surface yet the jet went Kabooom! so just wondering if it is possible to fly between towers or not?

RE: TUSBA calibration
@Skorp said in TUSBA calibration:
“Pairing
The process of adjust and calibration of throttle with TUSBA starts with the Pairing action. With this action TUSBA adjusts individually the amplifiers of each analog axis to obtain the maximum span and so to make better use of 12 bits analog converter. For this, TUSBA needs to know the maximum and minimum values of the analog measure of each axis, so as we will see after, we will need to move the axes to the extreme positions to achieve these values.”When I have a problem always made Pairing and calibration.
you mean the square that says “pairing…” on the TUSBA tab in RS_HID__DEV _TOOL? yeah I did that already more than once

RE: TUSBA calibration
oh I know now that the throttle is no issue, it’s the antenna that just recently started to act like it is ignoring most of the motion.
-
RE: TUSBA calibration
I reversed the role of antenna and range so now I have good antenna but not good range knob. I guess range knob is important only for TGP

RE: TUSBA calibration
@Icarus said in TUSBA calibration:
@Alfred Can you hook throttle up to your Cougar stick and test it? It would then tell you if it was switch or TUSBA issue. Your cursors looks weird too, They should be more centered.
the cursor is fixable, not a concern. But the antenna has been like this in the last few days. I have the FSSB so the main cougar base is gone.

RE: TUSBA calibration
@Icarus said in TUSBA calibration:
@Alfred Did you calibrate the antenna as well?
yes, but it’s not acting perfect like the range does. Almost half of the antenna motion goes undetected by the TUSBA. This gives real in game problems because antenna needs to be moved always (unlike past) to scan a portion of the MFD screen. I wonder if that is a sign of broken antenna!
-
RE: TUSBA calibration
you see the antenna in the first blue rectangle on the lower right corner as compared to the range in the same corner but the lower rectangle:
-
RE: TUSBA calibration
@Icarus well, went through search and apparently if the throttle is supplied will hall sensors then this will happen. The only is that the antenna elevation is doing the same on this day, but the range is working fine.
-
RE: TUSBA calibration
for example the maximum stops right there as seen in the picture, the throttle never moves into the region marked by red, this is the max that software can see
-
TUSBA calibration
is it normal that when calibrating there is more movement on the device than the signal can see on the HID? my throttle’s signal goes to the minimum but never travels to the max? leaving a lot of movement unused, also, the radar range have the same problem. The range seems to work properly

@Alfred it’s an error message from the Alt Launcher… probably no big deal, but try opening this
%LocalAppData%\Benchmark_Sims\Launcher_Log.txt
(paste into [Win+R] start/run dialog)
it gave me this:

CTD with unknown message
in korea theater doing the navigation, landed then exited the game, I then see a CTD with the message:
Error Log saved to C:\Users\HewlettPackard\AppData\Local\Benchmark_sims\Launcher_Log.text
but I found no such folders!

We could make them avoid to jettison Harms or low drag weaponscould you make the jettison upon request ONLY? we already have jettison ordinance option (make two one for all ordinance and one for explosives only)
No , we can’t risk the AI defensive critical actions based on bad players leader
That is one of the fundamental of AI , it should be able to take its own decision , especially the ones critical without players input , else everything would be scripted from player
but the elements don’t do the same thing, beside, they are supposed to take orders. They act on their own if weapon free but weapon hold should be effective.
When a missile is incoming AI have no time to ask you about autorisation to jettison
This is all a matter of multiple criteria decision.
Decision making can be better but definitively NOT under players control in those cases
You should understand the difference between standard combat like weapons free or hold and emergency situations
then just tell it to flex to keep it away from combat zone
