How do I change the mission setting I.e. Speed and attitude ?
Also what is the best option when entering an area full of ground to air missiles , yes I can see them in my RWR
How do I change the mission setting I.e. Speed and attitude ?

Guys I need some help please,
Whenever I enter enemy territory , they shoot me down using missiles (ground to air) and since most missions require me to fly on 25,000 feet at 275 Knots. Its hard to manuevr, what can I do in this situation please ?
… no comms are needed in a two ship formation. (even not in a 8 ship formation, but it is easier for “external wings” who has much more amplitude and need more anticipation over internal wing).
Arf, IA is IA.
Is a bit more difficult as IA are less progressive.

Out of thread question: What is the most reliable BMS version out there ? Cause everytime I get introduced to an old version another older one seems to pop up.
Example, BMS 4.33 then BMS 4.32
Good day folks,
Anyone here ever purchased this item before , or from the same manufacturer ?
This looks really good.
So is it a company or a person who took the license?
Is it ok to ask ?
@ avk123
Look here, the video of the Swiss patrol:
Using your mouse in the 3D vid, look how the pilot is working the throttle and the stick …
Thats the result of good comm, however when your wingman is a PC regulated AI, all you can do is shrug*
You forgot one:
“2!”
Well your wingman can also “check your six” when someone is cock blocking you by taking the cock block’s attention away from you and your target, check six.
There is no reason to download each update. The link has the base and all updates included. Just extract to a folder on your desktop and install.
Ok thanks
You can tell a good wingman his neck isn’t straight and he walks right shoulder first.
Or when he knows how to throw a good story or two about you infront of the ladies
Lots of practice, since you are actually learning a new motor skill (precision formation flying). Using aforementioned example of driving in traffic, when you are in “formation” with other nearby cars, your hands constantly move the steering wheel ever so slightly while the foot makes similar small adjustments with the pedals without conscious thought. The main reason you can already drive a car this way is because you’ve already logged many hours doing it. The two main differences between car and plane is altitude component and lack of a visible road to contend with. So, now all you need to do is log some flight time with precision formation flying to add that skill to your repertoire.
How are you at inflight refueling (IFR)? If you haven’t “got it” yet, this is a good place to start practice of precision formation flying. Just keep practicing it and you’ll notice yourself getting increasingly better at it. It might take you a 5 attempts or it might take you 50. Keep at it and you’ll eventually get it. Caveat, it’s harder in the sim than in real world because of limited visual FOV/acuity/clues, 3D world is still a 2D monitor, no sense of motion, etc. This increased difficulty doesn’t matter since the skill is still one that can be mastered. The main reason to not use autopilot for precision formation flying is it’s a crutch that will prolong the learning experience. That 's not to say AP is totally useless. Switch it on if you are lead or if you are wing in one of the much looser formations.
ILS landing in bad weather is another example of precision flying that is mastered with much practice. Keep doing it until your scan of pertinent instruments gets faster and wider and the hands and feet automatically react accordingly be making continuously small adjustments to the controls.
Last but still important…enjoy the learning process. As in the RW, flying in BMS isn’t just about deploying weapons. Who knows, maybe one day you’ll be doing this (no AP used here!)…
Well practically speaking I can have an ice cream, speak on my phone and drive with two given hands thankfully.
Maybe I can do the same with my Lead pilot as well one day
Check link below for full install of BMS 4.32
https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?19771-Falcon-BMS-4-32-Setup-BASE-plus-U1-U7
SO I have to download each update one by one after initial setup install ?
Are there full instructions in that link ?
I would think 64-bit is more optimized for modern systems. More RAM to play with and all that. As to how that EXACTLY works with the game, I’ll leave that up to those that know more than myself.
Give 4.32 a try if you want. It is less hardware intensive than 4.33.
Yeah I will probably do that, whats the last update on 4.32 ? So I skip all the probable CTDs that might come in my way ?
Unfortunately, far too many people i know use the cruise control exclusively for that
As Deejay says though, it should be use of your eyes to see what you are doing and your left hand to fix what you are doing.
Yeah but in the car its easier to control your speed by pushing a certain level on the pedal for the speed you want, in the sim, no matter how you adjust your throttle stick it will always give you more or less, never a fixed measure… are you sure there is no autopilot setting inside the cockpit ?
F-16 autopilot doesnt have a speed control actually. Throttle is always under pilot control.
So whats the best way to align with fellow comrades in the air then for any formation ?
Dogfight is a “master mode”. With one click of a throttle button to select dogfight mode*, the FCR MFD is set to ACM, and the weapons MFD and the HUD are configured for A2A guns and IR missiles. While the FCR is in ACM mode, as already mentioned, use the FCR MFD OSBs and/or the TMS to select one of the ACM sub modes (20, SLEW, BORE, VS 60).
*You do have your HOTAS correctly set up by now, right?
F1
Yeah I got that alright, im already getting better slowly by the day.
Question: Do you know how to setup autopilot manually ? because I want to be able to fix my throttle at specific 300 Knots and fly together with my lead group at a specific height. Trying to put the throttle with your throttle stick is not variable and bot fixed.
Hope you can help.
Question:
Since the developers are human beings like me and you, why dont they approach some major commercial developing company with Falcon BMS, make the paltform more stable and solid. And sell it worldwide, it seems all the major and minor elements are there, but how come the original developers of BMS did not think to make their work commercial ? it would help both parties, the producer and the consumer/user.
Personally speaking, I would be willing to pay some cash for Falcon BMS if I knew I was supported by a commercial development company / entity that would back me up in case i run into a CTD or have some queries. Not to belittle the hard work that is already done but to give their work more elevation.
Even if they aren’t, they can move air much more efficiently than desktops plus they’re also further away from you so you don’t get exposed to all that heat.
You should be able to run BMS on your system…. you’ll just have to accept a lower “standard” in terms of graphics and fps.
Does 32 bits and 64 bits make any difference on FPS ? I honestly dont know what they are
Secondly, If I run BMS 4.32 , would it be less laggy ? if it is, is it more stable in terms of CTD and such ?
You guys post your scores ? challenge accepted
The spec sheet says GTX 760 recommended, GTX 980 “rocks.” While you have a GTX 960M, it is a mobile version of that card which obviously will not perform as well as a discrete GPU.
For desktop builds, note that BMS is still a CPU-intensive sim so with everything else being the same, a 2.5GHz CPU will not show as good numbers as a 4.0GHz CPU. Newer CPUs also are better “per cycle” than older CPU so a 3.8GHz new chip may outperform a 4.0GHz old chip. Unless you are building only for BMS, obviously the best way to go about this is to get the best CPU and GPU that your budget allows. I would prioritize the CPU over GPU since it’s easy enough to upgrade a GPU whereas a CPU upgrade might also mean a motherboard upgrade and thus be more expensive. Once you are closer to getting your desktop setup, post here again and I’m sure a lot of people will be happy to help or at least point you in the right direction.
For now, I would suggest you start off by turning everything off, running the test as I did on my thread, and then build up from that until you hit your minimum acceptable framerate. Good luck!
hehe Im flying on F:AF for now, dont hate on me , Im just a fan of stable platforms (not that F:AF is fully stable by the way) , I remember back when I used to FF.
It was a lousy experience.
As for FBMS. Im saving money to buy a dedicated desktop, since running on my laptop, I realize the fan is going loud all the time, and where I live its a hot humid country.
Dont know if desktops can be any cooler.
