      @Spookyman:

      I couldn’t detect much difference with that setting. What I have now tried is using ewma filter and playing with those settings, do you use the translation inputs or should I disable them. I can’t seem a need to roll my head ect. I think only a real pilot would need to lift his head to see more of the would beneath him such as ground crew.

      I certainly use translation. Start out with just yaw for example and fine tune to your needs. Next do the same thing for pitch and all the others. It’s not easy to get it right but keep fine tuning until your happy. Then make sure to save it

      Nice one Basher, sorted. Now one more question is there a setting to calm down the head movement just a tad, it’s a bit lively.?

      I think it is called average or something or smoothening. It will make it a it less responsive but more solid in game.

      Ah could this be the on called game zero? I have been using the one called center which just brings me back to the original position.

      Yup that is the one. Also make a key binding for that one as you do with center button. Using these two buttons it will make it all possible to set it up as you want. Just make sure that your reflectors or diodes stay within camera range. Enjoy

      I thought I’d asked this question on this thread as it does sort of relate. Is it possible to change the starting position of your head when you enter the cockpit, I’m always too close to the hud, so when I rotate the mouse wheel to move backwards the dials are out of focus. any help would be great, I want to get back into this great sim, but need to get this sorted out first.

      Yes there is such a button. You first have to change your head position so it is where you want to have it centered. After that you have to push the button. I don’t know exactly where you can find it but you will have to use a key binding. I always do that in the beginning when entering 3D world.

      How can I convert the x to the y-axis ?

      You can’t, you can only invert it as far as I know.

      @Ernestwinslow:

      Hello all

      I just got a clip IR and a PS3 Eye camera. I am quite new with it and setting up for bms 4.33 is been a big challenge. Beginning to regret while I did not go for the naturpoint tractor. It is been so frustrating getting to work with freetrack(with 64dll), open-track or facetracknoir. Little success with open track but head movement is just dancing around. Cannot pinpoint where I getting it wrong.
      I will appreciate it if someone could help with step by step instructions on how to get it to work or a ready made setup I download.

      I am in deep trouble!!!
      Cheers

      I use the FacetrackNoIR, first thing to do is to tweak the settings of the PS3 camera so that you can only see your 3 LEDs and this is before going to FacetrackNoIR.
      After that, ensure that you constantly have 3 LEDs tracking in FacetrackNoIR (whatever your head movement) by tweaking the filter settings and ect…
      Then start optimizing your curves to your likings. Best is to deactivate all except X-axis for example. Then jump ingame and tweak it. Once optimized, activate the y-axis and do the same thing. Continue until you’ve done everything. Take it step by step and don’t continue before you’re sure it is working, otherwise you will get into trouble and make it yourself much more difficult.

    • RE: Weapon Delivery Planner released

      @Frederf:

      When you load “Billy Bob Frank.cam” as the save file it looks for “Billy Bob Frank.fsmap” so it has to exist. When you save a *.cam file in BMS it also saves whatever weather is currently active as the same name as the save game.

      There is a bug where the saved current state wind are 180 off from the original FSMAP.

      So technically by just adding or subtrackting 180 degrees from the heading, you actually get the real weather?

    • RE: Weapon Delivery Planner released

      I’m a bit confused about the weather that is stated in the briefing. How do you properly do this?
      First I add the *.fmap’s generated in the Campaign/Save/weahterupdates or something and I load the first map in the Falcon UI and make sure that auto-update is marked.
      Then I save the weather. When going to WDP, I check the briefing and hit Reload WX and it loads correctly mentioning the correct time of the campaign.
      But my point is that the wind directions and strength mentioned in WDP Briefing are different from the ones found in the Briefing in the Falcon UI.

      Can’t seem to fix it without losing the ability for either wheel brakes or AP….
      Anyone having an alternative?
