Well done Icy-Ask6889
Hello Forum.
I’m finding my way around the settings in my Pico 4.
I cannot alter the setting in “Override World Scale”.
I select “Per Application Video Settings” in the Video section of settings in Steam 2.3.5, Falcon BMS is shown but I can not change the entry from OFF to NORMAL and so can not alter the setting.
What am I missing please.
Thanks,
Bayonet.
I understand now, eventually
I hadn’t spotted the AB and Idle tabs in the throttle axis section. Not seeing the wood for the trees, I suppose.
Thanks for your perseverance.
Appreciated,
Bayonet.
@Quasi_Stellar I see in FCTRL in the Launcher, there is a selection of options for “Throttle Idle” and various Afterburner settings.
How are they set in the launcher?
On my Virpil throttle there are physical detents which I feel when the throttle levers pass over them. In the old Set Up (which I promise never to use again ) I could set the Idle and Afterburner there with a mouse click.
There’s no AB/Idle buttons on my throttle to map.
@Atlas @drtbkj Thanks again, “Setting up new PC’s is soooo much fun” Eh, no. Never again!
Regards,
Bayonet

Sorry for the delayed reply, real life interruption…
Thanks for all your help, I played around with the axes on my VIRPIL HOTAS as per your advice and the rudder is now performing normally. The AB and Idle “ticks” in Setup are still not holding.
However, having endured the trauma of transferring everything (TrackIr, Voice Attack, WPD and Tacview etc.) to a new computer, I’ll live with that for now.
Thanks again,
Bayonet.
@drtbkj Hi,
The YAW axis in the Launcher shows Rudder Joy 0:2 and the blue bar moves as expected. The Rudder bar in the old Setup is blank and the rudder on the jet does not move.
The Throttle in the Launcher shows Throttle Joy 1:RY. Now, the throttle in the pit functions fine in as much as I can accelerate and decelerate , but the After Burner and Idle Detent “ticks” in the old Setup, are gone.
I see in the Launcher…FCTRL: Throttle Idle and Min. Afterburner, but there are no keys to map and I don’t know how to s
et those detents in the launcher. As they say these days “my Bad”.
Thanks for your help,
Bayonet.
Hello Forum.
I’ve recently changed to a new computer and have mapped axes and buttons.
However, the mapping for (1) the throttle settings for After Burner and Idle Detent and (2) the rudder, are lost when I close the sim. I have to add them each time I fly.
Other than my Logbook I didn’t copy across anything from the Config on the old computer.
Also, in case it’s relevant, I had 4.37.2 on the old computer but have now updated to 4.37.3
Thanks,
Bayonet.
Hello Forum.
Albeit that there is a new Pleso Airport Diagram updated Jan 24th 2022, the previous frequencies from 4.36 remain in operation.
No doubt that will be amended with the next fix.

Bayonet.
@sungad Yep, that’s the best method. Planning a steer point on a convenient cluster of buildings avoids having to waste time searching with the FCR which then nearly always entails a course change to line up.
As shown by @Fish44 in his video, as I reference above, on approaching that steer point, using VIZ to quickly bring a building into the TGP is very efficient.
Bayonet.
@Fish44 All good advice. I particularly like how, in your video, you select suitable buildings for bore sighting with the HUD in VIZ and scrolling the TD. Effective in daylight only, of course, but handier perhaps that using the FCR and TGP.
Bayonet.
@tdr As per the manual 4.37.3 page 177….after boresighting, follow the SOP……TMS down….Wide FOV…….CZ (cursor zero). All cursor slews are cancelled and you’re ready to go.

Hello Forum.
Has the very enjoyable and informative podcast “Tactical Frequency” been discontinued?
Bayonet.
@airtex2019 @Atlas @foxster @Icer
Thank you all for your help, I’ll study your recommendations and jump in with fingers crossed
Before I do, I have to install my Virpil HOTAS and then all the other bits and pieces a BMS pilot uses.
Thanks again,
Bayonet.
Re: How do I transfer my keyboard maps to new computer?
Hello @Juggernaut I see that you recently posted a question regarding how to transfer key mapping etc to a new computer. I’m in the same position myself and I’m interested to see how you managed.
Would you mind please letting me know what you did, did it work and any other tips or warning you gained from your experience.
Thanks,
Bayonet.
@Croa Fantastic, many thanks. The “little slider” is now zooming away.
I don’t know why I didn’t spot the View tab in the Launcher. Not seeing the wood for the trees, I suppose,
Thanks again
Bayonet.
@kungfoo @Croa @Dracfalcon Hello and many thanks for your replies. Following on from your advise I’ve discovered that the Flaps lever is “seen” by BMS and I’ve mapped it (for now) to Antenna Elevation.
I previously had Antenna Elevation mapped to the little slider on the throttle, so…that means that both the slider and Flap lever are “seen”.
Now, however, I cannot manage to map the slider to "VIEWEXE: Zoom In or Zoom out. I’m missing something.
What do you think? Currently I’m using the mouse wheel to zoom in and out.
Do I have to disable that?
Thanks again.
Bayonet.
Hello Forum.
Please tell me how to have the Flaps lever recognised in BMS.
It would be very handy for zoom.
It doesn’t register anywhere on the Launcher, neither key nor axis.
Thanks for your help.
