Thx for info, that is exactly what I’m looking for. So skip virpil software and edit bms keyfile instead.

Question on virpil encoder setup
Is it possible to map the CRS and HDG callback to the +/- 1 when spinning at a certain speed, then the +/- 5 when spinning the knob at a faster speed, for both of the throttle encoders with virpil software?
Also, can the buffer storage still work with the 5 degree increments, but not the 1 deg?
Trying to use the encoders with the default settings, and it takes -forever- to dial in a CRS or HDG, unless there is a better way…

Required emergency memory procedures
Hey, I have heard that viper pilots have a specific list of emergency procedures that are required by their squadrons to be memorized, somewhere around 10 or so if I remember hearing correctly.
Anyone have any information on this? I was curious for trainings, was seeing if anything on that would be worth binding, maybe?

RE: Santa's wishlist for BMS
Hhhmmm, one thing that needs to be added, is bugs and birds.
If you fly at all, you know having guts and blood smeared all over your window…especially at low altitudes…happens almost every time.
Would give another consideration for the seasons you are currently flying in, to fly NOE or not, how soon to blow the covers, what to do when things are smeared, lose an engine, etc…
Lol
Single most realistic thing. I’ve had giant splats at 8,000ft before, during spring-time

Remove pilot model but keep kneeboards?
Wondering if you could do it simply, such as rename some texture files or something. I want the kneeboards, not so much the pilot?

RE: BMS 4.34 Documents correction report
edit: nvm, my brain was using the PFD on what I fly approaches on, which has a bar on the bottom and the side for loc and gs, respectively, instead of what Falcon uses_….
…which means the manual is CORRECT as is, I was wrong lol_
Firstly, thank you for the amazing piece of work produced…the charts, the manuals, …everything is amazing
Found an simple error where the ILS vertical and horizontal aspects where mixed up in the explanation, looks to be a simple swap.
BMS-Training manual, Mission 4: Night ILS Landing, pg 47:
"…The first emitter is vertical and called the localizer. It guides aircraft
to the runway centreline. The localizer is represented in the cockpit by a vertical bar in the HUD, ADI and HSI.The second emitter is horizontal and guides the aircraft on the optimal glide path to the runway (3° in BMS). It
is called the glide slope and is represented in the cockpit by a horizontal bar in the HUD and the ADI."Might leave a few new guys scratching their heads…lol

Hey A.S. thx for tip, things look and run great. How about FSAA though?

RE: Obtaining Approach Frequencies
Hey thx, I will most definitely check that out.
In-game, though, easiest way is with pilot model enabled(at least the legs), use WDP as mentioned beforehand, load your mission, and then click kneeboard and save.
Then in-flight, you just have to look down to have all that information rendered on both of your leg’s kneeboards (frequencies, map, briefing, waypoints, etc…just depends on how you set it up when you save the kneeboard)

RE: Obtaining Approach Frequencies
I would recommend downloading the Falcon BMS Docs folder to an iPad, or something, to be able to reference that stuff in flight. The Approach plates and Airport Diagrams have it all listed.
Also, I would recommend grabbing Dropbox and use it on a tablet for your ‘mission briefing file’, in game. Just create a folder shortcut for your ‘briefing’ folder in your Falcon directory, and also enable html formatting in the initial Falcon options for ease of formatting, then use an html reader for that on your tablet.
Also…then there is Weapons Delivery Planner…3rd party program that puts together some -very- useful information for you about your mission that it grabs from the save file. Now, I personally like to use the kneeboard option, put briefing on left and a map on the right, create a shortcut for the .dds file that gets used in my Falcon directory, save as jpeg, and put that in Dropbox for my tablet…
…whew. There is also the option in Falcon settings to enable pilot model, or at least just the legs, which Weapons Delivery Planner can then update the kneeboard files that are rendered on the leg for each mission, which I might say is nice, but bulky in-cockpit. I am currently trying out both methods, not sure which I like best, tablet or in-game.
But, in the end, having the checklist/html mission briefing/airport charts/kneeboard/etc on your tablet for your mission with Dropbox, or whatever, is the way to go.
…or print that stuff out and put in a binder, which I am looking at doing for checklists, for sure, and maybe airport diagram w/ plates. And threat guide. And…
Haha, I may end up having a stack of binders

RE: X52 ministick movement stuck
found simple solution in a thread below, just remap the movement of the Radar Cursor to a single button, i.e:
“Shift-Up”
to
“F8”
Reason being, seems new Saitek drivers/software do not like multiple key presses for some reason.
On a side note, if any of your buttons are not working, try same thing as above, or set up an “advanced command”, enter the keystroke, then right-click on the box your buttons you just pressed showed up in. That will bring up a list, then go to the bottom of that list to select ‘quanatize’, and select ‘zero’. This makes the key presses happen instant, instead of with the delay between presses that ‘advanced command’ function in the SST brings.

RE: Key File Editor -> Import Key File (click does nothing, help)
stuck on this too.
the ‘show/hide options’, ‘advanced settings’, ‘import key file’, and ‘export key file’ all do nothing. Using LibreOffice 4.4.6.3 and win10. Set the macro security settings to ‘low’, not sure what else to check. probably something stupid.
any help would be appreciated.

RE: Iff you could have one thing in the next update it would be. (Archive)
Anyone ever think about the glare shield on your helmet? There is a button to put on nvg, add a button to toggle helmet visor?

RE: Good Threat Guide?
Yup. Would be cool if someone from 72nd posted a new one here.
