Hi all
Since a few days BMS does not register with the SteamVR client. With DCS I see “Running DCS” in the SteamVR (2.3.5) window but not so with BMS: Sometimes it does, most times it doesn’t. I am a bit stumped what could be the problem.
Anyone out there has the same problem? Any hints, tips are appreciated.

@Bikeman said in Viper TQS throttle problem:
I have a strange problem with the TM Viper TQS. All the buttons work OK in BMS but the throttle itself does not increase incrementally when I move the throttle forward. Instead, after just 1-2 millimiters of movement the Z axis indicator jumps to the afterburner position. No way I can increase power just a little bit at a time.
I reinstalled the driver. Is there a way to reset the TQS or do I have to calibrate the throttle. If so, how would I do that? Configuring the Z axis response in the T.A.R.G.E.T. app doesn’t make a difference.
Could it be that the potentiometer is fubar? If so I would have to return the device and ask for a replacement.
Any ideas/help are greatly appreciated.

Problem solved. I returned the unit and got a new one. New it works like a charm. Makes one wonder what kind of quality control TM has (if any).
@scubapics same problems as the ones I encountered. I returned the TQS to the seller and am expecting a replacement any day soon.
@Amadeus75 tnx for your reply. Done that, doesn’t solve the problem. Btw, I see the same effect in DCS

Hi folks
I have a weird problem with Ice’s profile 4.37-05. When I start the profile the Helios control center shows this line
2023-10-25 18:37:31.1468|WARN|GadrocsWorkshop.Helios.HeliosBinding|“WarnOnce” Binding value Lua error “[string “chunk”]:1: syntax error near ‘Falcon’” from script "
paths_file = “C:\Bin\Settings.ini”
ini_section_name = “USE_RTT_MFDS”
ini_value = “Enabled” …
This line is repeated several times. Theprofile starts but when I press a button this screen shows:
I have done this:
Uninstalled/reinstalled Helios to 1.6.6030.0001
Removed/reinstalled Ice’s profile
Reset monitors
Any suggestions. Your help is greatly appreciated.

@linknet The Briefing.txt gets updated correctly. The Pilot Roster etc are not displayed correctly when I press the DED. They show the data of some other TE. Hope this helps in troubleshooting. Auto_Left.png and Auto_Right.png do not get updated.
@linknet Problem solved: AutoPadsUpdate.exe was blocked by Windows Ransomware Protection. I added the EXE and now it works as designed.
@linknet No problem, I keep investigating further. I erased BIN und Helios folders and installed new. The control center gives me a binding error when I push the Restore Kneepads and Update Kneepads buttons. As I said, no need for you to spend time, I keep investigating and let you know what I find.
I noticed that the profile is set to BMS 4.36. I changed it to 4.37.
@linknet Wildo. Btw: thank you for the superb things you do with Helios. I couldn’t fly the Falcon without.

@Bikeman There isn’t a Pathnames.ini file in version 4.37-01, try completely deleting the C:\Bin folder and using the latest one.
I followed your instructions. The data are updated in the CPD/PLAN screen, the auto-updater kneepads unfortunately not. Any other steps I have to take besides PRINT in the briefing screen?

@zeek said in Ice’s Falcon BMS Profile Updated for BMS 4.36:
@linknet I am having the problem again with the kneeboards updating. It looks like it is that same problem as last time where the KneeBoardsUpdate.exe is hardcoded to the 4.36 directory. Is it easy to provide a quick update to that exe? If not as a workaround I can just run an older version of WDP that is pointed to 4.36 to update the kneeboards so Helios can pull it from the 4.36 directory.
In the latest 4.36-05 version of the profile the kneeboard updater path isn’t hard coded, the profile passes the most recent BMS path as a parameter to the updater. I’ve just tested the 4.36-05 version of the profile with BMS Falcon 4.37 and the kneeboard update is working fine. If you’re running this latest version of the profile and it still isn’t working just let me know.
I am having the same problem since 4.37. The kneeboard updater by way of Falcon/Briefing/Print worked fine. Now it doesn’t anymore even though the Falcon path in C:\bin\PathNames.ini is set to 4.37.
@SemlerPDX Alright, Semler, tnx for your info
@SemlerPDX tnx for the heads up. btw: where do I find these commands:
@Dan Postition Three Entered should be “press xxxx” instead of “send”
