    • F15c ATT and ALT hold Key Mapping.

No matter what Throttle I use (virpil or orion 2 f15) and even the joystick (Orion 2 f16ex) the key bind for this action is shown as mapped in the config screen, but in game, nothing happens.

These functions work just fine in the f16 side of things.

Simapp pro is closed. So, I ruled that out.

@Blackhawk163 Could here be bug in Pimax Software? I remember Mover complained about his headset doing funky things while he was playing iRacing. Fullsceen issue affects whole session in 3D world, from very start , untill exit.

Whelp I switched it to have it run under steam using Pimax XR 0.4.4 and no crashes. I’ll bite the bullet and upgrade the actual pimax software (currently on 1.36.01.01) and see if there’s any difference. Hopefully this is just limited to my HW configuration but thank you for the suggestion.

Good of you to reference DCS. Thanks for that mental visual, this is exactly what I was looking for.

U7 seems to take longer to load than U6 is that because of the debug window stuff running? Apart from that no new problems to report… so far so good.

After I reinstalled both the release and the beta I noticed this too. It hangs for a few seconds.

@SOBO-87 yeah it was. funny enough is that it will only launch for me now with opxrtk, of course mission end is a ctd. Guess it’s Steamvr with openxr as the runtime.

BTW vr seems a bit smoother

    • RE: 4.37.7 Testers needed

Finally got to the bottom of the zoomed in world issue. It’s quite embarrassing really. So like many, I have a startup routine depending on the game. Once the pimax CL play software connects I’m off to the races. Next will be antimicrox which lets me change button presses into keys, I use this because up until now you can’t map the full communications suite to a button (QWERTY) Then it’s Foxvox.

It was the Fox all along. I guess talking to yourself while playing can be hazardous if you don’t configure your text to speech software correctly. Theres a reason why it (zoom) happens primarily in that one mission. It’s because I’m talking to myself through the steps on what to do, and yeah, the word “zoom in” is in there 😄 So when it happened again and again today in the steamvr version I was about to just quit BMS all together, when I decided out of curiosity to say zoom out. Viola! it did. And I’m embarrassed lol.

Although it will not go into flight AT ALL under the openxr option for me. Dump file message in previous post still stands.

@airtex2019 will do, tomorrow, I’m beta testing a few different sims in VR atm. Just got done with the problematic mission, but using steamvr as the init with pimax xr as the runtime. Mission success, no mini blackhole in the cockpit. This was a remedy from another thread where users reported a zooming out (opposite from my issue) that was suggested to me to try for my issue.

@Seifer No, but the frequency in .7 is and that has me concerned. In the quick missions It will run fine with me being able to complete a couple of rounds before I get swarmed by 21’s and 29’s, but load up a TE? It then becomes a question of when. The landing TE I can complete, AAR, sometimes it wigs out when I am taxing back other times after I tank up. But it will happen. So far, the less complex the mission the less likelihood of it happening quickly. Using openxr under Steam in .6 mitigates this to a great degree, but eventually it happens. I was able to compete the AGM Adv TE this way out of two tries. I haven’t started the testing in SteamVr yet, as it wasn’t in my schedule to do so. Tonight, I’ll get around to testing the particular mission that has a near 100% occurrence rate under steamvr/Pimaxr

@AR_Parker I’ll check on my Pimax CL is there a specific mission that this happens in?

4.37.7 is bad for me in my PCL. That zoomed in issue makes all the TE’s unplayable for me. Sometimes it happens within 30 seconds others sometime thereafter or 10-15min later. There is no pattern I can discern. The weird thing about this is that the whole cockpit is squished, it’s as if the model suddenly contracts inwards, and not just the POV camera, but everything inside. Outside of the cockpit it’s fine.

      @oleuzop @SoBad @Tumbler31

Roger that, thanks for the info I’ll cross that out from now on. Running openxr under steam is a bit more stable with regards to the Zoomed in issue, but not infallible, as it still succumbs to it but at a far, far less of a constant rate. I’m wondering if other headsets have this issue. This occurs with the same frequency when running the pimax openxr runtime as well.

@Blackhawk163 OpenXR Toolkit is not compatible with BMS

Was it ever? I could’ve sworn at one point it was. Nonetheless, it’s worse off than before so there’s that. The AGM65 advanced TE lasted about 30 seconds before the world compressed in like a neutron star. This has to be mission related right? Something is triggering this bug. Second playthrough of the mission has this event trigger about 5 minutes in. This time just as the destroyers are within visual and I was trying to boresight the mav with the TGP. Third playthrough made it to WP7, the even didn’t trigger and the AA got me instead 😅 This behavior is in Windowed, Fullscreen and borderless.

Dunno if this will be seen in the .xlog file or not. The zoomed in issue doesn’t CTD, it just forces the user to end the mission there. Subsequent restart of the mission will start normally. This behavior is in the 4.37.6 build as well.

As far as the openxrtk if that is an issue that won’t be rectified then is it worth supplying the dump on that? The only change from this beta vs current release is when the crash happens.
