      Currently there is not a team working on the Vietnam Theater to be available in 4.34. It is however fully functional in 4.33.

      If this is wanted we/you can gather our talents and bring this one for 4.34: What do you pilots think? It’s a community project: so it’s us that’s making this not some distant hidden team of builders waiting for the phone to ring 🙂 We released this to the community so feel free to take the lead 🙂

    • RE: Some questions for all the experienced 4.34 fliers out there.

      1st zlt C : P gives you the pilot model on/off, it is in the manual. There is no such key as a ‘kneeboard key’ but I think this is what you mean.

      2nd look at the other posts, and go over the keyfile part in the manual. It’s a bit of work but you only have to do it once.

      3rd the stock files give you excellent visuals, and mods will probably be released by the authors if they need converging to the new version. Some visuals have a particular DDS file they load. Change the DDS file and test the results (at your own risk so be careful). Like the canopy reflection and/or the hud glass one or skins. Actual mods (that modify script or Dbase entries) are not advised and risky for stability. But it’s your install so go ahead

      4th No, not yet. They need to be updated to be compatible with 4.34. Keep an eye out on the forums.

      @Frederf:

      VHF reception works fine in backup. It used to be that VHF was not controllable in B/U CNI but looks like in 4.34 it is so just use it. I’m not sure if DTC loads pre-DTC channelization like UHF BUP. I’ll have to test. But you should be able to type in known ATIS freq into backup DED directly.

      Config file can be set to have a DTC loaded on ramp as opposed to having to load it through the DTE manually. Otherwise the VHF does not work in back-up mode and the freq. punch in is for UHF. ATIS is on VHF

      Hi Ghostdog,
      basically if you put 2k+ objectives in there (greatly exaggerating here) things might be a bit tough for the sim. Especially in a large theater and MP environment. Keeping track of the number of objectives keeps it nice and lean. Having 200 moving battalions if going to take it’s toll on the sim. So it’s a basic question of server load and load balancing which is going to be a problem when putting in large numbers of units, objectives and so on.

      Hi Gattsu,

      I assume the theater is KTO? What campaign are you flying?

      And if you want to customize the frag order, easiest is to frag them yourself. To make sure you have the jets to do it you can make the squadron not to be run by HQ (human controlled).

      It is possible that your squadron (default Sqn. in the campaign) is a specifically tasked squadron (A-A for instance). When you change the priorities the H.Q. does not frag you because the campaign priorities do not require your assistance.

      PS: Are you specifically looking for a Wild Weasel role in BMS? Just asking 😄

      Hi all,

      I got a bug reported and rightly so (thanks!). On day two in Rolling Thunder the news updates start to loop. It is referring to a video we removed from the final version (movie 112). We use movie 113. So there’s that. I guess we’re still human and we mess up sometimes.

      Turns out there is a typo in the TRI file. Oh dear.

      We will fix it permanently in an update, but for now you can easily do this yourself.

      1. Go to your folder: “\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Add-On Vietnam\Campaign”
      2. open the ‘save02.tri’ file.
      With a text editor like Notepad or Notepad ++ (default installed on your OS)

      3. Go to line 17 which says: “#PLAY_MOVIE 112”

      Then;
      4a. change it to #PLAY_MOVIE 113
      or
      4b. delete the line
      or
      4c. put two forward slashes in front of it.
      Example: //

      5. Save and exit.

      We tried to make the A-6 double pit work but we had to put it on a wish list for future iterations. If anybody out there would know how to make this work in BMS please do; we couldn’t do it. And palm trees? You’re in a jet remember 🙂
