Dunno how well the Phoenix is modeled but I do know a couple things. It’s a very fast missile when the motor is running around Mach 5 so yes it has legs. It’s not the best at Maneuvering. Getting down into the low alts will help get it to slow down in the thicker air. Cranking and turning cold and hot to bait the 14 is really your only option. She is also a very good Dogfighter even for it’s size. If you ever make it to a merge force 2 circle fights. In BVR try and switch him to be defensive. You can take long shots and if he ignores it you might get a kill.

RE: A Guide to Morphine’s Profile for BMS 4.33 and Beyond
Not to be a pest but your files are still showing 4.34. or am I missing something? Appreciate the support

RE: Morphine's Profile
I hope I haven’t messed up here but this updated profile still isn’t working correctly. China hat keeps putting my left MFD in to the Test page and the Mic Hat does all kinds of strange things.

RE: A Guide to Morphine’s Profile for BMS 4.33 and Beyond
Okay with the new changes to 4.34 it looks like this profile needs to be updated again. I will look at it and see what I can find but if you use any of the radios it gets pretty wonky fast

RE: AAR refuelling unnecesary
If you ever start to do deep strikes and configuration dependent you will need to do AAR. Just keep doing it til you get it down. Go between both the 135 and the KC10. They have a different sight picture

RE: Radio Transmiting
A long time ago calling in CAS pilots often double clicked the mike as a Roger specially in the Pop after we cleared them hot.

RE: 9M's launch envelope
Not sure of the actual limits but I usually shoot when we are both unloaded or I have good angles and speed on him.

RE: A10 to BMS transition
I run Morphine’s Target Profile. It translates really well from A-10

RE: The future of the sim..?
Agreed. A DX 11 update, though being a GFX code re-write, would be the best way to go. And, DX 12 has no major GFX enhancements from DX 11. It allows different GFX cards, with different instructions, to work with each other AFAIK. So, a DX 11 would be ideal IMO. But getting BMS to even DX 10 will be a big undertaking. I think this team is up for that. Time will tell.
IRC DX 12 allows for better CPU scaling as well as the number of objects and details can increase. I too would like to see BMS to go to DX 11 just for VR support if it’s possible. I would be great to see a commercial effort but I understand the IP issues. I’m sure most of us would be willing to pony up for a fully supported product. Heck I’ve already paid well over 200 bucks for BOS BOM and BOK.
