@Mav-jp '‘First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.’

I also have seen the trailing dot. It happens in the campaign too.

RE: Night vision goggle (NVG) brightness - can it be adjusted?
It is a gaming genre called simulation. If you get butt hurt by or want to argue what BMS is called, in my opinion you have more problems in your life to work out than what to call BMS. Call it a fruit salad who cares! If your having fun that’s all that matters. The people working on this simulation, game, fruit salad, are awesome! To dedicate themselves and their time to this endeavor for us and themselves, for free, deserve our respect and admiration! Not arguing over what to call it.
Thank you to all that make this fruit salad the best! Respect! -

RE: Newbee on BMS, questioning myself if i failed or it is a intentional feature?
@MarcAurel Welcome back! This is not the Falcon 4 you remember. I’m not going to be the guy who says RTFM but you really do need to. If you start with the training missions it will be easier to find the information about the gun and other weapons and how to use them. In the doc’s folder there is a manual for the training missions. There is a training mission MISSION 19: GUN & HMCS/AIM-9X that has the information about using the gun. Start there if your looking to get the gun working. I went through the same thing when I started back with Falcon. I hadn’t flown since the early 2000’s and then I found BMS and did the same as you, jumped into instant action for some fun and couldn’t shoot anything. My advice is to get some quick knowledge on chucking spears and the gun so you can have some fun blowing stuff up. But really you should start with the training mission 1 and go through the list of missions to get familiar with the systems and how they work.
Welcome back to the best flight sim out there! -
RE: NEW WINWING ICP
I use AIC to display the DED on my Logitech G13. I wonder if that might work on the Winwing ICP if not using their software to program the buttons. If it’s possible to program it without using their software.

RE: Thrustmaster blues
@Kavelenko Sorry for being off topic…
That’s funny about needing a PHD back in the day. I remember I had to figure out how to disable different systems within DOS to free up enough onboard memory (that’s the 64kb of memory on the motherboard that it needed to run and not RAM) so that falcon 3.0 could run. And I didn’t have the internet to look up how to do it. Those were the days! -
RE: Count down timer issue
@kampfalk Thanks for the reply. I fly campaigns where I frag my own flights but I also like to fly campaigns where I just pick from ATO generated missions. I always start a new version of just using ATO generated missions so I haven’t tried fragging in the new version. And I am aware of the speed limitation I haven’t gone above 4x in a long time. Thanks for all of the help guys!
I have found that the problem doesn’t happen every flight and I can cancel the flight then reselect it as many times as I need to until time to enter 3d and the sim runs correctly.
And for some reason I have always alt-tab to WDP just before going to 3D. I remember reading a post about having to do that for WDP setting to take effect. I did not realize that was fixed. Thanks to Falcas for that indispensable tool! -

What @airtex2019 said. I used to have a custom keyfile but the Launcher is much easier to use.@airtex2019 do you know if the hat switch on the front of the throttle ( the one used by the index finger) still needs a couple lines of code to function?

If you search the forum there’re are a few threads talking about this. If I remember correctly there are some working on a replacement for MC and WDP. -
RE: Purpose Driven Joystick Bindings: Takeoff & Landing, A-G mode, NAV, Air to Air ...
@Stevie
I have done that when I don’t have very good control of my sink rate. I push up the throttle to reduce the sink rate so I don’t slam into the rubway but I never thought I should or could use it as a flare maneuver. I will give it a try. -
RE: Purpose Driven Joystick Bindings: Takeoff & Landing, A-G mode, NAV, Air to Air ...
@Alfred
You flare just before you touchdown by gently pulling back on the stick. If you time it correctly you will land lightly on your gear. -

RE: Falcon BMS Traducido al Español...Falcon BMS Translated into Spanish
Apolo27… I think everyone is thankful for and appreciates your work. It is quite the undertaking to do what you have done.
I could be wrong about this but… Without having any knowledge of any conversations you may have had with whomever, I think the language thing is just about the forum. If all communication on the forum are in English then the moderator doesn’t have to translate everything himself to make sure people are following the rules of the forum. (I don’t think MaxWaldorf’s native language is English)That would make his job very difficult and time consuming. And lets always remember just like you and the work you have done translating, the BMS team does this for free and they don’t have to share if they didn’t want to, same as you. So thank you for sharing your work, and thank you BMS team for sharing their work on the best F-16 sim out there! -
RE: Logitech X56 dial “F”
@ka8yiu Yep, I knew it was that opening line. I had a vendor that was from Italy and I thought he was a prick when I first met him. But it was his lack of english words in his toolbox and our verb tense that made him sound that way. Once I figured that out I would be like “do you mean this?” and he would acknowledge that yes that’s what he was trying to say he just didn’t know how.

RE: Logitech X56 dial “F”
@ka8yiu
I do not think english is oakdesigns native language. The use of adjectives proper expression is difficult to get right if you are not fluent in english so it can seem like non-native english speakers are condescending but it is not intended. -
RE: Sinpo-C class submarine "Hero Kim Kun Ok"
@Radium
I love your updates. I am a parametric modeler of custom carbide inserts and holders for lathes and mills using Autodesk Inventor and I have access to 3DsMAX, but only at my place of employment, so I do not have a lot of time to play with 3DS but when I do, I struggle with it. I compare it to working with clay where you shape things until you get the desired outcome. I believe 3DS has parametric ability’s but I don’t know enough to utilize it. But seeing your progressions through a project has given me some incite as to workflow and process and inspires me to work at it. Thank you for all of your work and keep the updates coming! -
