@janjan:
Hi,
Where can i find a reference for all BMS callbacks?
In the dash-1 manual there is a list of all the callbacks but how can i know what each is meant to perform?
Some functions can be in deducted from the name of the callback but not all.
Dan
Hi Dan,
Basically, since most of the callbacks refer to “buttons” or “dials” in the cockpit, you need to read the whole Section 1 of the Dash1 manual to get what all callbacks refer to. (Which is 147 pages long…) This section describes all of the panels in the F-16 cockpit with referrals to relevant DX callbacks. So to get what you want, the way to go would be what Red Dog and Frederf suggested.
But please bear in mind that, while Dash 1 will show you “what” it is, it will not show you “why or when” you need to use some button (or callback) in general.
So if you really need to understand what most of it meant (if not all) jump into the Training missions along with the “BMS-Training” manual open on a tablet beside you and go through the mission steps while reading the Training Manual. If you’d like to have more detailed info about a specific panel or function then refer to Dash 1. This way would be more efficient IMHO. (Also that’s what I do after giving some unwanted breaks to BMS)
Also bear in mind that, these comments are coming from a guy who can not even complete the “A-A Refuel mission” on max realism, although the guy owned F4, and flew nearly every Falcon version since 99… So feel free to disregard it… (And the devs just omitted the simple refuelling option from the Setup screen in 4.34… Great, just great… Which is also a good example that reading more and flying less puts you in trouble… )
Hope that helps, best regards,
