RE: Test low-poly toys in BMS4..
to celebrate the release of 4.36, few toys are ready.

RE: 4.36 Screenshots
Cannot resist another test…oh yeah!PS: as you can see the hose is in high tension status, i should move closer and upward a bit - that’s due to my habit to get fuel in a jet - AAR probe always higher than pilot’s eye level.
in this case MV-22 probe is much lower than pilot’s eye level and i go without visible probe guidance in 3d pit. -
RE: 4.36 Screenshots
another blind contact… 3d pit without AAR probe.
cool to have Vnam jets back!

RE: 4.36 Screenshots
the old tanker is activated, finally!
old test in F4SP/FF era

@Nurse
Great it works.
Btw many pretty phantom skins are created by Ranger.
And, you need buccaneers, gannets, and some SAR choppers to complete the fleet arm! -
RE: Test low-poly toys in BMS4..
you are looking at wrong place.
on that page, look for left upper window,
highlight
8.RunwayDimListType.
then you’ll find…
0.Rwy-Dim Pt
1.Rwy-Dim Pt.
the two define the takeoff runway locations, coordinates data at upper X, Y, Z slots. change Z value for new carrier. -
RE: Test low-poly toys in BMS4..
- make sure you use correct Parent.dat file. it defines the hitbox/height of new carrier.
- you need to edit [carrier objective] with Falconeditor.
better check existing carrier objective data (nimitz class) and learn how they set Z value. in this case, Z value is -47.736

You mean, that you can’t see the weapons in the weapon bays, when they are opened?
AFAIK
when you tick visible, weapon models are always rendered whether bay open or close.
when untick visible, weapon models only show once released… -
RE: Chengdu J-20
just my 2c,
if you untick visible for weapon bay items… once [Bomb Bays code] activiates, you won’t see weapon models.
then you have to tick visible again.

- an idea comes to me : navy phantoms can lengthen nose gear for takeoff - it seems doable by adding a TDOF98 on nose gear strut. like lowering the launch bar, the TDOF98 could lengthens nose gear.
Good idea…I do not know how to do that, but lengthen the nose gear is that also possible for a dutch F-5A/b model??
Alright i’ve done the test…as i expected, it won’t work.
adding a nesting TDOF98 to gear strut compression part, can extend the strut - but it won’t make ac pitch-up, the extended strut and wheels just go down into ground. reason is nose gear Z value is a fixed number in fm.dat, not dynamic.
to achieve complete nose-up visual effect, it needs an old trick - XDOF (98) the whole ac model and make it rotate along Y axis, pivot at bottom of deployed mainwheel. plus TDOF98 nose strut lengthening.
and yes F-5A/B can use the trick to pitch-up.

nice pic.
BTW,
- you need HMS Eagle.

You’ve to check which fm.dat is used for raf f-4.
Then edit it’s refuel location.Yep, the F4M.dat was already updated with your numbers, I tested the Fgr2.dat, same issue…
No no, I don’t have my pc at hand, so I don’t have correct location data!
I just point you to change that refuel location. -

Nice but not perfect…where can I edit the refuel point??
check f4m .dat , edit refuel location.
