So, why not have the carrier position planned in advance? Then you dont need to receive carrier position updates from other players, only instructions for future movement of the carrier. That way, the carrier moves the same for everyone.
This is exactly what I was suggesting. This would eliminate the need for an internet connection in the first place, the real source of the problem.
when no recovery or launch, the carrier follows it’s own planned course , only when an aircfraft is launched or recovery in the ATC brain, the carrier turds upwind.
which means this is not predictable
As I said earlier, how about forgetting about the wind? Let the players just set the wind to a heading that coincides with the carrier. Or just deal with a crosswind.
Here’s another idea, how about operating the carrier in cycles. Let’s say every hour on the hour the carrier turns in to the wind for 30 minutes. After which it returns to a predetermined course. This gives a half hour window to launch and recover aircraft. Which would also make carrier ops more realistic to boot. And it would create a predictable turn into the wind and turn back to course again eliminating the need for position updates.
