RE: Tanker question
@alfred said in Tanker question:
thank very much you for the responses. How can we make the element refuel before the wingman, say for example the wingman is half empty but the element is bingo. I was thinking rejoin call to the wingman
If your element and/or wingman are AI, the refuel sequence doesn’t allow the swap among flight ship. When I get other members running on vapor, I use to call the tanker for refuel and, once received the clerance, call again for “done refuel”. This let the #2 to go at precontact position and take fuel. Same for elements if present. Then, I contact the tanker again to take fuel on my own. When refueled, I call “rejoin” to my flight to determine the end of refuel. Don’t forget to call the tanker for “back to pre-contact position”.

Thanks for the recommendation!
At the moment I have these and looking for some F-15A/C books…
Don’t know about A/C version, but “Strike Eagle - Flying the F15E in the Gulf War” (W.L. Smallwood) is a very interesting collection of 335th and 336th FS Strike Eagles pilots experience, during the deployement in the Perisan Gulf.

RE: The F16 blocks
@DennyITA said in The F16 blocks:
Thanks but regarding the models, avionics, ordnance, missiles, etc., I considered the dash34 table (page 592). I would like to know the substantial difference of the engines of the blocks, F100PW200, F100PW220, F100PW229, F110GE100 and F110GE129.
To better understand we must consider the mass-production series in the US inventory; basically after block 25 the US DoD decided to endorse the two big homeland engine manufacturers: General Electric and Pratt & Withney, using both engines for the block 30’s. To recognize the versions, they started to use different block nr; -30 equipped with GE engine, -32 with P&W. And this suffix going on up to block 50/52 (included plus versions); block 60’s, 70’s and V’s are made for export only so far, and fit the GE engine only. The differences between GE and P&W, and different versions are so many and articulated that could result tediously to explain here. Useless to say that it’s easy to find the history of various versions online.
For what regarding BMS, I strongly suggest to read the HFFM Manual that you can find in Docs folder. It’s an exhaustive book that explain the difference between engines and how they has been modelled onto the simulator. -
RE: ATTENTION: action needed for U3 update
@seifer
Never experienced this issue in KTO (Kunsan AB is my home base), but I wanna thank you and BMS team for your effort. -
RE: 3D models by Luke777 (Kaos)
@luke777 First, thanks a lot for your effort. I always appeciate whom share his skills to others. Got a (dumb actually, I know…) question before I mess BMS up: How do I can install these models on 4.36 ?

@asw200
Using WDP (https://www.weapondeliveryplanner.nl/download/index.html) is the bes way to brefing the flight and manage the kneeboard. -
RE: TE mission impossible to build
@Crassus Thanks a lot for your aid. Actually my problem is due to an third-party F16 flight model; with std ones it works perfectly. Cheers.

RE: Jan Has F-16 LV7 Update packs
Ok, got it.
As @kouzi said, file 8042.dds was AWOL for some reason. Now I’ve take a 3993.dds file from an old BMS version, renamed it and copied in KoreaObj directory. And now I’ve got my HUD glass back in place.
Thank you so much @kouzi and @cougar56th for your support. -

@amadeus75 said in BMS 4.35 KNEEBOARD Charts:
Just for information - the (Korean) kneeboard images are located in:
Falcon BMS 4.35 > Data > TerrData > Objects > KoreaObj…
.That are .dds updated files (thanks for file numbers…), basically what you see once seated in the cockpit. If you want to change 'em up, you must use WDP were you can add pictures your own (airport charts, threats, radio ch. and freq, wheater maps, ingress/egress maps…). The reference directory are located in …weapon_delivery_planner_3.7.18-180/picture or Map. Personally, during a campaign I use to create a directory for every mission where store all pics related for that .

RE: Crash to Desktop Falcon BMS 4.37.3 Unplayable issue (LG 29WP60G-B Ultra Wide Monitor + Gigabyte GTX 1650 4GB GDDR6 Graphics Card )
@john1974
I’m agree with @Arty ; the PSU is underpowered in any case. The first action I would do is to get a 650W Bronze/Gold PSU, aren’t so expensive and garantee enough power for every use. I’ve recently got a similar issue that drove me nuts. My Asus-NVidia GTX1050Ti suddenly crashed out when called to perfomance (i.e. graphic rendering or BMS when in flight), got me figured out he was gone to graphic cards heven (5 years of service, can make sense…). Purchased a new Asus RX580OC 6GB, and with my surprise the crash-in-to-dark was still present. I’ve even tried to downrate the refresh frequency at minimum available, and noticed that was a 'lil bit better but definitely not solved.
Well, being shorty, a BIOS check revealed a randomly 10,4 V onto the 12V CoolerMaster 650W PSU line (3,3V and 5V seemed ok). Replaced with a new 750W, and back to fly. Needless to say that GTX1050Ti is in perfect shape…
Hope this experience will be useful to solve your problem. -

@john1974 Just to say…does 65 °C and 60% Fan limits could be too low ? especially for an OC card

RE: [BMS Roadmap 4.37 U3] News from the BMS Team
@MaxWaldorf
No words for your constant, huge effort on improve and maintain this sim on top of the sky.
Got one observation about the hardware, 'cause new changelog figuring out as a sort of milestone for BMS; but how much will be the cost to pay for these improvements, in terms of hardware requested ? I mean, usually graphic enanchements tends to be greedy of resources - and it’s normal - thus the way to use the sim would be either reduce setting or upgrade the hardware. In the first case, you’ll go ahead to fly missing part of new upgrades, while the second case is a pure matter of money. Wanna be clear: this is not polemic, it’s just my curiosity on how developers works and if the hardware resources are a thing of interest in the process developments.
