Hi guys,
I’ve been tweaking RWR sounds in order to replicate better the reported logic of the M2000’s.
I am facing an issue when facing a Fox 3 threat. I modified the ‘amraam.ogg’ Sounds\Twi file with a longer audio, hoping it would play as a loop.
However, the RWR seems to treat the ARH seeker not like a spike, but like a spot, which translates by the RWR just picking the first couple milliseconds of the .ogg file with a second-long pause in between, resulting in a very underwhelming ‘bip…. bip…’.
On the ALR-56/69, the behavior is identical whether I am in floating diamond or latched handoff on the ‘M’.
As I tried to base my tweaks on all modeled RWRs in BMS, It seems like they all behave the same regarding this situation.
I find it surprising that an ARH audio feedback would be so low profile. Do you confirm this is working as intended, and is there a way to make the RWR play a loop? Are ARH missiles’ seeker indeed working in a way that they could not be discriminated from a scanning spot on the RWR?
