TARGET was a nightmare fore me, and felt I was asking for my devices to get bricked. It is a little work with RS Mapper, because you need map a keyboard combination for every command, then go in to BMS and put the same key combinations for every switch, but it doesn’t mess around at firmware level, and will work with empty switch positions that you can’t normally bind even in newer games like DCS for who knows what reason.

RE: Can BMS support/see more than 32 DX buttons?
May I suggest you try RS Mapper? Worked like a charm for me, and manage to use switches with little to no problems in both BMS and DCS. Good luck.

RE: 4.35 Crash on startup
D3DCOMPILER_47.DLL was x86. thank you very much. Damn even big corporations don’t have this level of support.

RE: 4.35 Crash on startup
it is not that, I even disabled the intro. Most likely something to do with C++. As I say, I will have a new OS and SSD in 2 days, and we will see then. Thank you.

RE: 4.35 Crash on startup
not using one. Anyway I see is not common issue so is on my side. I am waiting my new SSD so I will change the SO and we’ll see. Most likely will work just fine.

RE: 4.35 Crash on startup
still crashing, with the codec installed, and intro disabled. "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). "

RE: Thrustmaster® HOTAS Magnetic Base and F-16C Viper™ HOTAS Add-On Grip.

Waste of money in my opinion.
isn’t this the same old base and stick but sold separately? The upside is that you can now buy the grip for your Warthog or Falcon (still not sure what’s with the Viper), and buy a Virpil base, but I do wish to see a good quality Falcon throttle from anyone.

RE: Can't start F16 in 4.34
And that explains the issue. With idle cutoff checked, the idle detent button doesnt do anything.
For that checkbox ticked condition, you need instead to set the idle cutoff position of your throttle in the setup window. Go to setup -> controllers. Move the throttle, confirm it is moving in the window. Left click the Set AB button to set the afterburner position. Move the throttle to the desired idle cutoff position (slightly forward of the aft most position your throttle has) and then RIGHT click the Set AB button. You should now have a red line and a green line in the throttle position box.
On your test ramp start, you should note the throttle can move freely. Start with the throttle aft of the idle cutoff position you defined (ideally just all the way back). Once the JFS reaches at least 20% RPM, advance the throttle just past the point you defined the idle cutoff position for.
Note that with the idle cutoff checkbox in config checked, there is no use of the idle detent callback at all. You just use your physical throttle solely.
Sorry for the late reply but I was very busy in the last week. You are right. It turns out that if you are using the cut-off option in the config, the game will not register the cockpit mouse click, nor other key bindings. I just turned that option off in the config and everything works just fine. Thank you very much. A falcon can fly again

RE: Can't start F16 in 4.34
if the throttle position doesnt matter at all to the results, sounds like its a controls input issue somewhere. Either throttle position not being reported correctly (seems unlikely) or the idle detent not being used properly.
To troubleshoot that, it would help to know the configuration you are using. It sounds like you are not using the Idle Cutoff config option?
we already went through that part, but thank you http://prntscr.com/nslqhc
The way I start it is I have the idle cut off unchecked in the config panel. I set my afterburner and idle cut off detentes in the set up panel. I set the idle cut off button on my throttle. I make sure the canopy is down switch the electrics from battery to master, then hit the starter switch. When the rpm hit 25 % I hit my idle cut off button on the throttle. Starts every time like that.
To quote the world’s most powerful man, “It sounds good; It doesn’t work”. Tried that but that’s not how things work apparently.
the VERY FIRST thing you should ALWAYS do when entering the pit is move the throttle all the way forward and back so that the sim can detect the position of the throttle and ‘sync up’.
This is one thing I didn’t do so far, because I am not sure if the cutoff works or not. When I move the throttle from cutoff to idle, there is no “click” sound, but I tried using Alt+i without touching the throttle, with no results.

RE: Can't start F16 in 4.34
It is seen for sure, I can fly just fine if I go to Taxi. I just can’t start up the plane.
p.s. just checked it again, no issue.
