    • RE: Thrustmaster Viper TQS... what to do with the additional buttons?

@Tomcattwo thanks A LOT! I’m going to hit the sack rn (it’s about midnight here in Italy…) so I’ll try your script tomorrow. Thanks again, I’ll let you know! Ciao 🙂

(sorry I couldn’t answer you directly via DM, not enough reputation to chat 👶 )

    • Helios and display resolution scaling.

      Hi everyone,

I recently added a 15.6” touch monitor to my setup that I use with Helios and Ice’s excellent profile.
Everything works perfectly, but I am forced to use all my monitors at native scaling (100%) which I find a bit uncomfortable, before I used 125% scaling and it was absolutely more comfortable and readable.
I was wondering if there’s a chance to make Helios and scaling coexist without going too crazy 🙂
      My configuration is as follows:

      • Samsung 34” monitor 3440x1440 resolution, horizontal (main)
      • Samsung 27” monitor 1440x2560 resolution, vertical (accessory)
      • touch monitor 15.6” resolution 1920x1200, horizontal (Helios)

Has anyone faced this problem before? Could you put me on the right path to solve it?
Thanks as of now to those who would/could share some information 🙂

      Ciao!

    • RE: Thrustmaster Viper TQS... what to do with the additional buttons?

      @Tomcattwo

      Hi Tomcattwo,

“I have set up the Antenna Elevation Depress knob as a toggle to change the curves on my joystick for the pitch axis (JOY Y): First press sets the pitch curves to a scaled version that provides very precise movement around the center position for AAR/Landing. The second press sets “Normal” flight pitch curves.”

This is exactly what I would like to achieve!
It was what I used to do with Foxy on my old Cougar, but unfortunately I don’t know TARGET at all (I just recently got back to the sim after many years of stop) and I don’t know how to do it.
If it’s possible, I’d like to see your configuration file so I can analyze it.
Do you think you could give me a little help? I’d greatly appreciate it 🙂

@311Blade well, the monitor I use with Helios is a touchscreen, so technically I can touch the controls with my hands.
I know, it’s not exactly like clicking a physical button, but the Helios profile is so refined and functional that it offers possibilities I couldn’t achieve with an ICP alone 😉

      Ciao!

    • RE: Thrustmaster Viper TQS... what to do with the additional buttons?

      @311Blade sorry, no VR for me…yet! ☹

my setup so far consists of the following:

      • Thrustmaster HOTAS magnetic base + Cougar Stick
      • Thrustmaster Viper TQS Mission Pack
      • Helios running on a 15.6" touchscreen portable monitor (ICE’s profile)
      • a cheap webcam I use with Opentrack and Beam Eye Tracker

Next steps in my agenda are:

      • a real head tracking system (almost certainly a Delanclip Fusion Pro)
      • a decent rudder pedals (probably a Logitech but my dream is the awesome Winwing Orion rudder pedals 😋 )

      Hope this helps, ciao!

@scubapics that’s GREAT!!! Now the exe connects correctly with T.A.R.G.E.T. !!
and everything works in the sim as well, I just fired up an Instant Action and my panel lighted up like a Christmas tree!! 😎
THANK YOU SO MUCH mate, I owe you one! 👍

    • RE: BMS2Target: BMS to Thrustmaster HOTAS LED Controller (Viper Mission Pack and Viper Panel)

      Hi there,
I’m back to Falcon BMS after about 20 years of inactivity (sigh…) and this is my very first post on this forum, so I kindly ask you to please be patient with me 🙂
I recently own a TM Viper TQS Mission Pack and I am trying to get the LEDs to work via the script, but there seems to be no communication between the BMS2Target executable and Target Script Editor
The script runs correctly, no errors are reported, and the LEDs on the peripheral light up briefly to indicate correct operation.

This is the output of the script editor:

      Running script: C:\Program Files (x86)\Thrustmaster\TARGET\x64\TMHotasLEDSync\TMHotasLEDSync.tmc
*** Allocated ProcInstances found from the previous run: use FreeProcInstance() ***
Mapped plugin module "C:\Program Files (x86)\Thrustmaster\TARGET\Plugins\sys.dll"
      Compile Succeeded.

      TMHotasLEDSync v1.0.8

But if I run BMS2Target, every time I get “Unable to connect to server!” and nothing else (I should read “connected to T.A.R.G.E.T” )
Here is the BMS2Target log: (powershell “.\BMS2Target.exe | tee bms2target.log”)

      BMS2Target v1.0.1

      Waiting to connect...

      I’m running T.A.R.G.E.T v. v3.0.24.618_rev1, BMS2Target.exe v. 1.0.1, OS Win11 PRO 24H2
-Tried running script editor and executable as administrator, no result
-Tried disabling antivirus (BitDefender), no result
      -Tried disabling firewall, no result.

I’m definitely doing something wrong, but I honestly can’t figure out what. Any help please? 🙏
