Just bought a some saitek rudder pedals and for the life of me i can’t figure out whats going on with my DX shift mapping. I only have 2 DX Shift mappings. On my Thrustmaster WH HOTAS I have it mapped to allow me to zoom in/out the TGP using the DMS up/down while i hold down the Pink DX Shift on the stick. Always worked until i plugged in rudder pedals for the 1st time. I’ve checked the key file and, based on everything I’ve read, it should work given the numbers don’t change and all the normal controls still work. Only my DX mapping stopped working.
I know it’s tied to the rudder pedals bc I restored my BMS install to what it was yesterday, before i had the rudder pedals, using backup software I use. The mapping works perfectly. Then I close down BMS and plug in my rudder pedals and restart BMS….my DX map no longer works.
Here are the EXACT settings in my key file I’m going off of.
SimHotasPinkyShift 2 8 -2 0 0x0 -1
SimHotasPinkyShift 258 8 -2 0 0x0 -1
SimDMSUp 10 8 -2 0 0x0 -1
SimDMSDown 12 8 -2 0 0x0 -1
256+10=266 and 256+12=268
Here is my DX mapping for the joystick DMS up/down keys that allows me to zoom in the TGP.
SimRangeKnobUp 266 8 -2 0 0x0 -1
SimRangeKnobDown 268 8 -2 0 0x0 -1
The numbers are EXACTLY the same with or without the rudder pedals plugged in so i have no clue whats going on. Like I said…the default HOTAS mappings work just fine so I’m thinking the default numbers in the key file are working…just for whatever reason my DX no longer does.
In “Device Sorting” the device order is the same with the exception of the new rudder pedals being at the very end of the list.
Went over the DX shift material on the forum for a couple hours before posting this to no avail.
