I personally use MFDE and pretty happy with it. I struggled for a week with Yame and gave up. WAY to many hoops to jump through. I don’t use a touch screen for anything and I have the TM MFD bezels but I would love to be able to extract more items like switches and, ECM and RWR buttons not so much to touch but to see status at a glance. Between the bezels, a custom keyboard and my Cougar HOTAS I pretty much have everything I need mapped but still have to look “down” into the pit to check a switch position now and then

As a recent “new guy” myself I would reccomend the following
A - Read the manuals - A lot of great and needed info there
B - Use the Training Manual and the Training TEs to get familiar with systems and weapons
C - Join the Falcon Lounge Discord and meet / fly with people there. I hooked up with some great folks and they definitely got my skill and knowledge level up

I know one WSO who had to poop over the ocean during a ferry flight… Hopefully, he has water resistant flightsuit, all stayed inside… But, 4 hours of flight were remaining, I never asked him, but I supposed it became ictchy after a couple of minutes !

I do believe that’s the very same “toilet” we used in our CH-46 Helos whilst I was in the Marine Corp . . . It was that or hang it out the crew door . . . LMAO
Get the view you want on screen then hit the “TrackIR Center” key which is set to F12 by default I believe. You can check the keyfile to verify this but that will let yo set the view to anything you want
I believe this is by design . . . Something to do with planes “taking off” down the taxiway during the delay between leaving 2D and entering 3D

You do know how to wipe/reset the cougar?
Well I don’t LOL . . . Is that even required? When I brought my Cougar back outta the box to start flying it still had the old “Jagstang” profile from Cougar World loaded. All I did was switch to “Windows Emulation” mode in the CCP, opened the Alt Launcher and started assigning DX buttons. Never had an issue but I’m wondering if that was the correct way to go about it . . . ?
As a fellow Cougar user, what I did was ditch the TM software all together and use the Alternative Launcher for BMS to make the button / axis assignments. Worked flawlessly and I’ve been extremely happy with it.
