Thanks for this - can’t wait to try it out!
Anyone had a chance to try the registry fix in Win 10?
Can confirm the reg fix works in Windows 10, without having to edit anything. Nice work Snelle.

Hello Cemtufekci
I am using BMS 4.33 and tried loading your keyfile for my Hotas X but it does not seem to do anything in-game and although I can see all of your switch functions listed, whenever I test in Settings screen all I see is the switch/button number identified and “No Function Assigned”. BlueRaven’s keyfile works fine but other than of course you assigned different buttons to different functions, I do not see why your keyfile will not work. Any ideas please?
The profile above assumes that your joystick id = 1. If you have other controllers plugged in, (pedals? xbox controller?) it may be different. Go into the game’s controller set up and press the trigger.
Write down the “Button #” message that appears.
Trigger button number / 32 + 1 = joyID.
If this number > 0, write it down. You will need to offset most of the dx assignments. Else if it is zero, something else is wrong and you can ignore the rest of this post.
Then do joyID * 32 = offset.
Starting at line:
SimTriggerSecondDetent 0 -1 -2 0 0x0 0 "STICK: SECOND TRIGGER DETENT"
Edit the first number, in this case “0” (zero) by adding “offset” that we calculated above. So 0 + offset = correct dx button number.
Then continue on with the next line:
SimPickle 1 -1 -2 0 0x0 0 "STICK: WEAPON RELEASE (Pickle)"
Change the first “1” in the line to 1 + offset.
And so on until you edited all the first digits in every line starting from SimTriggerSecondDetent.
Stop editing when you get to these lines:
#===============================================================================================
SimDoNothing -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 -2 "============= SHIFTED ============="
SimDMSUp 2 -1 -3 0 0x0 0 "STICK: DMS Up"
SimDoNothing 2 -1 -3 1 0x0 0
SimDMSRight 2 -1 -3 2 0x0 0 "STICK: DMS Right"
SimDoNothing 2 -1 -3 3 0x0 0
SimDMSDown 2 -1 -3 4 0x0 0 "STICK: DMS Down"
SimDoNothing 2 -1 -3 5 0x0 0
SimDMSLeft 2 -1 -3 6 0x0 0 "STICK: DMS Left"
SimDoNothing 2 -1 -3 7 0x0 0
Then continue editing when you get here:
SimSelectMRMOverride 256 -1 -2 0 0x0 0 "TQS: DOGFIGHT Switch - MRM Override"
Firstly thank for all the replies. In hindsight I cant believe I made such a meal out of assigning the rotaries!!
Pretty straightforward when you know what axis or rotation button is which!
I’d like to get both the nipple and adjacent slider working too if possible so will look into that.
Nipple for cursor control and slider for my air brakes…
Thanks again all.
Best wishes…
Gary
Here’s one way to have the nipple control the radar cursor. In HUD software:
Set up each x/y axis to three bands. Assign the two bands at either end of the axis to around 20% (although YMMV, can set the band % to whatever you like, but leave the middle band as large as possible to avoid controls leaking into each other. No commands will be added to the middle bands). Each of these 20% bands contain the keyboard control for cursor up/down/left/right depending on which axis you’re setting up and which band you’re editing. See screenshot below:
Each of those 20% bands are set up with advanced commands like so:
The slider set up is alot easier, but unfortunately isn’t actually an axis itself. It’s just another button. Forward is button down, backward is button up.
So I just use the keyboard command to toggle AFBrakes as an advanced command, so it presses the key once when set forward, and presses the key once again when it is backward:

Hello.
yesterday I installed W10, along the way I installed the latest 353.62 (29.7.2015), 64 bit with a GTX760.
They weren’t working for me. The loading screen wouldnt show (it would either stay stuck there, or just plain black) but the sim was running OK.
Reverted to my old ones (344.48). does anyone have a chance to try the new ones in W7 to understand if its an issue of the drivers, or just with w10?Thanks
On 353.62 WHQL Win 7 x64 and Falcon seems to be running fine for me, haven’t noticed those issues you’re experiencing.
You can also increase pitch angles for triple monitor by editing 3dckpit.dat file for each of the planes. See this thread for details.
Just tried 347.09 with 3xSLI Surround setup. As you get into the 3d pit, it is constantly flicking between desktop and game really fast, and unfortunately never stops. Almost spew inducing.
Edit: Resolved issue by changing SLI compatibility bits to 0x02400009 through Nvidia Inspector, as seen in this thread.
In Perth and ISP is TPG, thankfully able to leech on my end.
Thanks mppzgz. That works fine, but I would rather share the STPTs independently of the DTC as my friends and I have different preferences for MFD pages as well as chaff/flare programs and do not want to overwrite those. Been messing around with it and it doesn’t look like there is a way.
Not me. I did all that and stutters heavy over Kunsan. 331.58 the same. Back to 306.97 for smooth flying over Kunsan.
Just wondering, did you lose the mouse cursor at all?
Just installed 331.58 because of the improvements listed regarding Nvidia Surround (running 3 way SLI with triple monitors) but the mouse cursor for Falcon BMS disappears. Seems like it doesn’t like the resolution change between native and Falcon’s UI. Would anyone have an idea how to fix this? Will have to downgrade if there’s no way to resolve.
