• OFM-Nevada for BMS 4.37.2

BMS-Mafia_logo-1.png

The BMS Other Fighters Mafia is proud to present OFM 1.7.1 It is our collection of theaters. These Theaters reflect BMS 4.37 through Update 2
INSTALLATION-1a) Uninstall from 4.37 the 4.36 OFMNevada Theater (if you had copied it over to 4.37)
Mega-Link-- https://mega.nz/file/IqwhgSKI#G--7ndllP4Ayne5fbgjoQYe4c19LRh5V6F2LsqvxcOw
Google Drive Link-- https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-78yYGRbqrCl-SrWF79gv2CSSYlORWD5/view?usp=sharing

-2) Run the OFMNevada 1.7.1 Installer ( you do not need to unzip it)

-3) ENJOY!

OFM 1.7 CHANGELOG 1) Corrected skin on F-16-30 IAF( thanks to Sammy Skycraft)
2) Adjustment to Clouds Modeling- In testing we were seeing a persistant layer of clouds at 5-6K, which in Nevada is frequently ground level. The fmap was adjusted.
3) Hornet, Fifth Generation, and Tornado cockpits-The 5 ECM Mode switches are now left click for on/ right for off
4) F-35B Flight Model refinement
5) F-35 B and C fuel capacities corrected to RL values
6a)AIM-120D “On/Off” Executables( thanks to Eddie): We had received from feedback, mainly multiplayers, requesting that the AIM-120D not be included. If you go to x/BMS 4.37/Data/Add-On OFM Nevada 1.7/Docs you will find “1Add AIM120D” and “2RemoveAIM120D”. The base install has the 120D,but simply run the “Remove” if you want to remove the it. You can reinstall it by running “Add” but please note it will overwrite any other loadout changes you might have made.
6b) Refinement of the AIM-120D. PLEASE NOTE: The 120D Project is ongoing, but in the meantime 1.7.1 will be released with what we call the 30 second burntime model. We feel it is the best compromise at present. However, if you look at x/BMS 4.37/data/Add-On OFMNevada/sim/misdata you will see all the current candidate models are included. You simply have to rename what you want to test (after backing up the original). We want to open the process to the BMS membership.
7) Rocket salvo change-(thanks to Bibleclinger). Rockets are now fired singly. Note:WIP to add more selectivity.
😎 NAS-Fallon coordinants correction- now shows properly when, for example, set as alternate airbase.
9) Refined Baydoor modeling in the F-102A and F-106
10)Adjusted map for improved steerpoint line visibility
11) Repairs to many airbases
12) Jet changes-added-2 seater EFK200
-Spanish 2 seater F5B
-Spanish Av-8 loadout changes
-Various Flanker refinements…

Su-27S Flanker-B. Single seat, IRST in middle, no AAR probe, no AA-12
Su-27UB Flanker-C. Two seats, IRST in middle, no AAR probe, no AA-12
Su-33 Flanker-D. Single seat, canards, IRST in right side, AAR probe, yes AA-12
Su-30M2 Flanker-G. Two seats, IRST in right side, AAR probe, yes AA-12
Su-30SM Flanker-H. Two seats, canards, IRST in right side, AAR probe, yes AA-12
Su-27SM/SM3 Flanker-J. Single seat, canards, IRST in right side, AAR probe, yes AA-12

NOTE ON 4.37 JAMMER MODELING. We wanted to give the option of either using the USAF or IDIAS jammer system, so the Hornet and 5G cockpit hotspots are in place.
In the Hornet 'pit on low/center MFD-OSB1=ECM-STBY
-OSB2=ECM-OPER
-OSB3-5= ECM XMIT1-3
-OSB 11-15- ECM MODE 5-1(left click on, right off)
In the Fifth Gen. ‘pit, again on the low/center MFD
OSB 1-5=ECM MODE 1-5(left click on, right off)
OSB 16-18-ECM XMIT 1-3
OSB 19= ECM STBY
OSB 20= ECM OPER.
The Tornado also has ECM Power,EMM XMIT MODE,and the 5 XMIT button hotspots.See BMSOFM Fighters’ Manual page 5.

We’ve been working on the pits with a couple of goals. First, simply get it to work even for people with austere HOTAS’s. Second, to give people the option of the USAF or IDIAS without a lot of hassle.
The pits , that will be in OFM 1.6 Theaters, have hotspots for all the buttons needed for both systems. Plus, If your HOTAS has a 4-way switch, you have another option…
The procedure is 1) Go to x/4.37/Data/your theater/Sim/acdata/ your jets folder. In the avionics section look for avionicsRWRType
avionicsRWRType 1 ( this is for the Viper model)
avionicsRWRType 3 will give you IDIAS
avionicsRWRType 5 will give you the USAF model with the RWR-on-HUD display
2a) USAF-map CMS up,down, left, and right as usual . Then, map SimXMit1 ,SimXMit2 ,and SimXMit3 as shifted commands under the CMS’s. This gives you full HOTAS capability once you have powered the jammer and pressed the SimEcmMode1-5( which are in all 3 cockpits)
2b) IDIAS-It’s the same procedure as above except you map ECM XMIT TOGGLE instead of CMS Down. You don’t need the 3 XMIT commands.
There are other ways to do this, but this method has been tested in 3D

• OFMKTO

BMS-Mafia_logo.png
We of the BMS Other Fighters Mafia continue to work with the Other Jets(other then the Viper) and various Theater Devs. However, we have found it problematic to keep everything straight when dealing with multiple theaters. Plus,as more Other Jets get worked on , we want to be able to present that to the BMS Membership in a timely matter.
So, we have created the OFMKTO Theater, with gratitude to the BMS Devs for all they give to the BMS Family.
This Theater will come as a one-step Installer. Note: some anti-malware apps may have an issue with the Installer, but the program is clean.
The OFMKTO will be used as a testbed for all new Other Jet development, and new versions will be presented as needed. So, if your jet-of-choice needs help, let us know and future version(s) can address it. Also, the Theater Devs can use the OFMKTO jets for their Theaters as they desire.
OFMKTO contains- current Hornet/Super Hornet/Growler development
-current Harrier development
-current F-35 development
- current naval tanker development
-current Tornado development
-current Eurofighter(Typhoon) development
-The Eurofighter has the 4.36 models
- current and future development of many jets
-TE’s and training missions with F-18 and others
-Instant Action with F-18C instead of the Viper
- Periodic changes to campaigns

• RE: BMS Other Fighters Mafia (BMSOFM) Journal

Good Day, All,
Here’s our Mafia Update for the day, and I’m very happy to be making this one. It’s been posted here and elsewhere that the Mafia has been in a phase of “building the infrastructure” to be able to enhance the BMS Hornet, and from there to the BMS" Other Jets". During this time we have “felt the pain” the BMS Dev’s go through developing things. It’s really hard to put a timeline on such things! Anyway, to do this we have been testing using various jets and software tools.
I am very happy to be able to finally make the following announcements…

1. Our testing/developmental “tool box” is now in order. Our “infrastructure” is built 🤞
2. While we remain loyal to the FOM’s( Friends of Mafia) and the projects we’ve been asked to do, we are now doing direct development and testing for the BMS Hornet
And now the fun starts…

The BMS Other Fighters Mafia is happy to bring you OFMKTO 1.8 . This one can be called a refinement . It has all the latest cockpit and flight model files, plus refinements for stability. Also, the TE’s and Training Missions have been updated for stability, as well

UPDATE: 9/17/23- Jackal’s TE Pak
The OFMKTO TE’s have needed some love, and Jackal has done a good job on stability and addition of more Other Jets. Besides that, the .trn files are converted to .te. So, you can add your jet/loadout of choice using Mission Commander. Just extract the files and place them in 4.37/data/Add-On OFMKTO/campaign

BMS-Mafia_logo.jpeg

With gratitude to, and the permission of, Cougar and the Balkans Team, the BMSOFM presents BalkansOFM 1.5.1.
It includes all the latest OFM flight modeling. The campaigns are based on those in Add-On Balkans, less some of Balkan’s custom textures. The first 3 campaigns are more “Old-School”, and the latter have modern aircraft complements.
Updates from OFMKTO 1.5-

1. Flight model updates on F-18’s and F-35’s.
2. Latest Fifth Generation Pit in the F-35,J20,KF21, and F-22.
3)Radar Project by CCC-adjustments to multiple aircrafts’ radars for improved modeling on detection ranges, performance and realism.
3. RWR Project by CCC- adjustments to several jets so that they show up properly on RWR

Good Day, All. Here’s our update for today…
I have been notified that the Mafia hotspot fixes created for 4.35 have been put the base 4.36 install. We are honored the Dev’s include our stuff! Meanwhile, we continue to work on the F-18C flight model. At his point we are working under the assumption that it will not be ready when 4.36 comes out. So, we have already created an “Install Pack” that will have everything you need, including a User Guide, and don’t be worried that it’s some nightmarishly complex procedure. <img src=“/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji/emoji/android/1f628.png?v=1g16vn91q2r” alt=“😨” class=“not-responsive emoji emoji-android emoji–fearful” />
This will also help the other Hornet variants like the EF-18M and the CF-188. I also have a little side project going where I’m experimenting with how the new Hornet stuff relates, or basically how can it relate, to the F-18 E/F and the Growler

Good Day, All. With all the upgraded Theaters we’re putting out, it occurred to me some people may be worried about losing their campaign(s)- in- progress. So, I wanted to mention that when we update I test my existing camps in the new version. You may have noticed various “Airwolf …” Those are my active camps.
The procedure to save/move is simple. From the 2D screen click the Save button on the upper task bar. A window will pop in and you can name it whatever you want, then save. That file will be saved to 4.37/data/your theater/campaign folder. It will be a .CAM file with your assigned name. Save/copy that file to your desktop or wherever, uninstall the old, install the new, and drop the file in. It’s the same with TE’s, but in those cases they are .TAC files Keep in mind that the .CAM’s and .TAC’s ARE Theater specific.
I can’t absolutely guarantee it will work all the time. However, I don’t remember a case where they haven’t, given what we usually change in upgrades.

@razo said in Naval warfare - is the AGM-65G best weapon on F-16 with no HARPOON capability:

It depends.

If it’s stationary, a JSOW or maybe even a JASSM would be more suited in terms of distance.

If it’s moving, the AGM-65G seems to be your best shot, unless you take one of the export F-16s that can carry the Harpoon

I believe the Viper Block 50+ can carry the SLAM-ER, so that’s another option. Of course, you could fly a Hornet (sorry, couldn’t resist 😉 )

Good Day, All. If you’ve read the README’s for our OFM Theaters, you may have seen “the AIM-120D is a WIP”. Well, today we have a treat for you. Sammy Skycraft has produced a new flight model file that fixes the “hypersonic issue”.
https://www.mediafire.com/file_premium/z89p2x08luwwe5j/AIM-120D.dat%2528SS_9-22-23%2529/file

Simply rename it to AIM-120D and drop into 4.37/data/any OFM Theater/sim/misdata.
This model will be in the soon to be released OFM-Balkans 1.8.1

@drtbkj hi Airwolf!
i managed to fix f15e fuel issue as we discussed before…
i even fixed the RWR existance issue without any changes to cockpit!
you must change type ac to 10 in .dat file
and for the fuel issue you must change all variables at fuel tab to 0 except 6:
1 fuelGaugeMulitiplier
2 FuelFlowfactornormal
3 fuelflowfactorab
4 minfuelflow
5 fuelminfwd
6 fuelminaft
and now there is no issue with my f15E everything works and rwr is usable through MFDs.
have a nice hunt!

Hi, F. I just wanted to follow up on this. Have you sent us the dat? If so, I missed it

I’d love a post where you just put screens of EVERY model and skin mentioned and posted in this thread.

We could see them ALL in a single post.

Easier to choose my new desktop wallpaper…!

😄

I’d vote for a general Radium screenie-thread, all the models/skins back to the beginning!
