RE: Falcon BMS 4,32 Crash to desktop at startup
Don’t say I didn’t told u… I told u to swap computers…
Have u deleted the dx9display.dsp file? And then open falcon.
Also use gamebooster and kill unwanted things maybe something goofy is holding it back… Please select the falcon bms exe and not launcher exe also next configure and select what to close, dont leave it on default.Tried all of that. Still nothing. It will open just fine in full screen mode on a single monitor, but when i hook up all 3 monitors in portrait NV Surround at 3240x1920 resolution, it kills itself at launch.

RE: Burner's Harpoon MOD Pilot Legs Tutorials
I just started flying BMS so I dont have any other theaters or mods than what the release already comes with. So only the default Korean theater. And yes, I am running the LOD editor as administrator. Im running Win 7 64-bit so I’ve tried running it in different compatibility modes and still no legs.

RE: Falcon BMS 4,32 Crash to desktop at startup
The only time Ive had crash to desktop situations was either
a. Im switching between versions of BMS and I have the desktop executable pointing to a different version then I intended
b. The startup video is on, this would make my previous system crash every time. Can be turned off in the configuration utility.Yeah I disabled the start up intro video but it did nothing. For now im stuck flying windowed mode. Maybe its a SLI+driver version thing.

RE: Falcon BMS 4,32 Crash to desktop at startup
1st (and ultimate solution) is to exchange your pc with mine. Mine works just fine and is more experienced… sure u will have to pay me too as it’s experience is priceless
Joking m8… great HW u have there…
Well u could use SoftTh in case u have problems with nvidia Surround. But ppl here use it and r ok.
As I see your MB has onboard VGA maybe this is causing the problems…
U could use Nvidia Inspector for the SLI on/off and have a profile ready for BMS.
Also if u take a look at my hot list there is a trick for SLI and Falcon.Where can I send u my address with delivery info…? I prefer UPS they r ok… also send me your address and which courier u like to send u my pc…
Haha thanks mate. I don’t have any issues with SLi and full screen in any other game/sim. My onboard VGA has no drivers installed and is disabled in BIOS. The solution I have found that works with BMS is to add the “-window” to the end of the shortcut target line. This makes the UI a small window which if I drag it all the way to the top right corner of the screen, when the actual sim starts, its windowed but takes up all 3 monitors, so its very flyable. I have no idea at this point why full screen makes it CTD right at start up but I can see that right as I start it up the screens go black and then CTD right after that so I’m fairly confident its a resolution thing. Will take a look at your Hot list. Thanks for the tip mate.

Falcon BMS 4,32 Crash to desktop at startup
Guys,
I just installed Falcon BMS 4.32 patched up to U7. I did not use the full install of Falcon 4.0, just the .exe. I cannot get the game to start at all. As soon as I launch it screen goes black for a second then goes back to my desktop with a message saying “Falcon BMS has stopped working.” I looked around for some solutions as others have had this issue also so I tried the good old “disable intro cutscene” but that did noting. Any help is greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Ok so I found out that the only way to launch the game without a crash to desktop is to add “window” to the end of the target location and check “Cockpit displays to external windows”
EDIT 2: Took out “Cockpit displays to external windows” and just added “-window” to my shortcut target parameters and it starts fine now, but in windowed mode. SO starting it up in fullscreen mode is what throws it off.
EDIT 3: Ok, So I disabled SLi on a single monitor and it worked in fullscreen mode. But for me to be able to use my 3 monitor surround and play in fullscreen, I would need to completely take out my second GPU which is no good for me as I use it to play other games with SLI and multimonitor. Im using nvidia drivers whql 334.89. Is there any work around to this? I’ve seen other people run BMS with multimonitor SLi. Could this issue be driver related?
Any ideas? BTW here is my hardware:
