@redman386 I can only suggest that you sink this piece of SHIP to stop the Su-33 printer…

@VDK you can see his nickname in his latest video at ~ 9:55. The world is smaller than we are used to seeing it

RE: Multiplayer question: Multiple laser emitters recommended?
@Stevie they definitely should have an effect, perhaps this is not modeled for the TGP and the laser beam.
It was lasing, the “L” on the TGP&HUD did not appear on the screenshot because it was blinking. As i said, i am not too familiar with LMAV and its indications. Also, is it normal for the LMAV WPN display to show AG65K instead of L? My bet the LMAV is implemented into the F-16 through the regular maverick interface, which goes some way to explaining the wrong stuff you found.

RE: Multiplayer question: Multiple laser emitters recommended?
@Stevie Screenshot before the third:
I am not 100% familiar with LMAV, but LMAV was able to track the laser spot. The problem not with LMAV’s as they are affected by weather, but rather with the fact that clouds do not affect TGP at all. -
RE: Multiplayer question: Multiple laser emitters recommended?
@HaggisHero alright, i did some tests. I was wrong about LGBs - they will miss when dropping through a cloud layer. The problem is that the laser beam can “burn” through the clouds, the laser spot can also be tracked by the TGP through the layer, and the TGP itself can track an area or point behind the cloud.
That is, the weather affects weapon’s seeker, but not the TGP and its laser.

RE: Multiplayer question: Multiple laser emitters recommended?
@Stevie the fact is that the laser in the first two pictures was fired far behind the cloud from the JTAC (this can be replicated in the JTAC training mission). It could not be reflected from the cloud.
-
RE: Multiplayer question: Multiple laser emitters recommended?
@Stevie actually yes, but… no
TGP can definitely see the laser spot through the clouds, same for LGBs:
Quite the opposite for the AGM-65L:

RE: SEAD/DEAD missions - no ground targets.
@VirPilot SAM battalions usually “stick” to their objective and do not move at all. It appears your DEAD mission was created by HQ multiple times against the same target, and the target was previously destroyed. Or is it just the fog of war, “wheeled” battalions are always hidden until discovered by friendly units.

RE: Multiplayer question: Multiple laser emitters recommended?
@Amadeus75 the laser is not affected by clouds in the BMS, this only applies to IR&EO (and LMAV) guidance.

RE: TASMO or AGM84 fails?
@DennyITA According to the DB, Kuznetsov has 1000 HP, and the AGM-84 deals 338 “water” damage. I’m not sure how much Kuznetsov absorbs this type of damage, but it definitely takes 3+ ASMs to destroy it.

RE: Saitek X65F & BMS Alternative Launcher
@PRNDL Yes, it is. The EVO is an improved version of the old NXT, which is no longer in production (but can be upgraded, which is why i love the VKB). I use NXT in DCS, IL-2 and BMS and it works well.
-
RE: Saitek X65F & BMS Alternative Launcher
@dawgboy NXT is a stick, not a throttle, but VKB released the STECS throttle about six month ago. While there are “finger lifts”, they are more like triggers, with one trigger on each side of each grip.
Without many words:

RE: Saitek X65F & BMS Alternative Launcher
@PRNDL I have been using VKB NXT for over 2.5 years without any problems. Accurate, functional and worth every dollar spent on it. This is literally the most cost-effective option on the market.

RE: Insurgency vehicles and factions based warfare.
@Additional-Cats IMHO, this is… such a small tactical level for a World War III simulator. The falcon’s DC is heavily based on the TAC Thunder, which was designed to simulate the 1980-1990 Cold War conflict in the German theater, or later Desert Storm.
Battalions and brigades are too large for small insurgent units.

RE: Availability of JSOW AGM-154C
@SoBad afaik this is because the -C/C1 model is made for the US Navy and is intended for anti-ship tasks.
-
RE: Rolling Fire, default squadrons
@SoBad of course there is a squadron of F-15Cs and you’re not dumbass.
-
RE: Su-27 pit - a small surprise to me.
@Xeno This is definitely not a Su-27 radar…
Because the Su-27’s main radar display is on the HUD. The IPV displays tactical information (similar to the F-15C MPCD, although the IPV is not an MFD) but has a HUD back-up mode.

RE: AI Bombing
@drtbkj They often abort their task if they encounter enough threats…
In fact, I completed this package in some eccentric way. Our pilots shot down the entire MiG-23 squadron, so there was no need to destroy the squadron’s airfield. Well, before they got reinforcements

CBU-103 Burst Altitude Issues
It seems that if I carry any other weapon with the CBU-103 (say a Mk-82, GBU-10 or CBU-71), the burst altitude setting is… somehow copied from the other weapon’s settings. It’s like it has priority over the CBU-103. Then the CBU-103 will burst at the default setting at 500 feet, regardless of what I changed on the CNTL page. But if you change the Mk-82 BA (in C2 option, of course) at an altitude of 2500, then the CBU will burst at the required altitude. The non-WCMD version does not have this issue.
