Thanks a lot for this, I was pulling my hair out trying to get my control setup to work with 4.33u1.

RE: BMS Freezes during LGB Training mission (BMS 4.33)
This sounds like what I was experiencing. I know I heard something one of the times it froze. Kind of disconcerting that the sim’s reaction to the structural damage would cause it to freeze. Anyway, I was following what the training text said (550kias at 500ft), but I admittedly did not do any performance planning. You know what they say about assuming…

RE: BMS Freezes during LGB Training mission (BMS 4.33)
Just an update, tried again, and this time the sim locked up at around 1500ft and 567kias. Is there some phenomenon that is supposed to be happening (sound barrier maybe, although Mach readout is between 0.8 and 0.9) that is causing it to lock up on me?

Any ideas why it would lock up on me?

BMS Freezes during LGB Training mission (BMS 4.33)
After a little bit of testing, I’ve discovered seemingly random parameters for the sim to freeze up while trying to do the LGB training mission. After destroying the first crane (yellow), and setting up for the DTOS on the red crane, I’ve experienced the freeze three times now. It happens when I’m around 500 ft. over the water, 360 I/B to the target, when my airspeed reaches around 540-545KIAS (0.8 mach). I’ve also tried immediately setting up for the DTOS on the red crane from an airstart, without going after the yellow one, and I get the same freeze when I am within those constraints.
The last time it froze, I thought I was starting to hear the aircraft beginning to go through the soundbarrier, so I fired up the AR training mission and just firewalled the throttle to see if it was an issue with going supersonic. In the AR mission, I had no issues. I transitioned through mach 1 at 15000 ft, and then dove down to try the same at 500ft. Other than the normal airframe buffeting, there were no issues at any altitude. The sim only seems to freeze up when on the LGB mission.
Can anyone else replicate this?

Thanks, I’ll check it out when I get a chance

RE: Falcon BMS Doesn't Save Settings
I’m having this same issue, but oddly enough, only in the Avionics axis tab. Flight controls is fine, but I have to constantly re-assign the axes on my Warthog to control the avionics every time I open BMS. I’m using Windows 10 as well. Does anyone know which file the axis assignments gets saved in? I’d like to figure out if it’s write protected.

RE: BMS Key File Editor, and Windows 10
That must have been what it was, thanks again guys. Things seem to be working fine now that I added an exception.

I’ll give that a shot. Didn’t know about that feature, as I’ve never had to use it before. Thx.

BMS Key File Editor, and Windows 10
This is a re post of what I put up at SimHQ.
Just about had a meltdown when my computer would restart, let me log in, but I couldn’t do anything afterwards. The start menu functioned, but no programs would open. I couldn’t even restart. I had to keep doing a hard reset.
Finally, I figured out that the only thing that had changed was that I had saved the BMS Key File Editor to my desktop. I tried to delete it, but I received an error message that it was open in Windows Defender. The light bulb went on then, so I restarted in safe mode, and moved the file back to the BMS base directory.
Now everything is working fine. Just thought I would post this, so if anyone has an issue with this file, or any other Excel file, this might help.
Edit: Actually, nevermind. When I tried to go back and use the file again, windows locked up. I even deleted it, and used a different copy, but windows defender keeps attempting to scan it, and windows locks up. Now I can’t do any further editing of keystrokes, or joystick settings with this file.
