    • RE: JTAC in KTO campaigns

      @Quasi_Stellar
      Thats a GREAT response. I will work on this.
      Today I did make my first attempt at planning a mission. I started with a saved mission on the 2day. My ATO was set at Seosan AB. I looked at the map and could see a concentration of friendly and enemy units near the front line NE of Seosan. I clicked on a enemy tank icon and made a new package, and choose to fly with another f16 squadron from Gunsan AB. Choose a preplan CAS. Joined the squadron. Pretty Kool how I am now at Gunsan. Long story/short, flew the mission with my Wingman, and as I got closer to the attack STPT5 and 6, I was able to contact a JTAC. What a blast! We both managed to hit a tank each, but we got jumped by 4 Mig29s. Now I want to refly this mission, but I will try to figure out how to add a flight 0f 4-F16s to cover our asses with ESCORT.
      Thanks for the responses from Jayb and QuasiSteller

    • RE: Virtual crew chief

      Check out this Youtube. Great to see how a ramp start with the crew chief works, even though they mostly use hand signals.

    • Any planning on having three Airmen line crew?

      I was just wondering and dreaming about the possibility of having the three line crew airmen during a ramp start. Could you imagine how neat it would be to wait for hand signals to pull the EPU pin, chocks, and to cycle the control surfaces and Airbrakes. I realize that this could hit Frame rates while it is running, but maybe once leaving the parking spot, the airmen would disappear and hopefully the FR would increase.
      FSDreamTeam has done this with the PMDG737 program, and it adds to the immersion of that sim.
      Thanks to ALL THE BMS TEAM!

    • Question for RL Military Aviators

      In my GA experience, when comm with ATC, I always did a read back of what ATC said to me.
      In the military, did you also do a read back?
      I can see that Comms could get VERY busy when doing a approach with a flight of four, and other AC in the area.
      Just curious.

      Thanks for input. Huffer Out <salute>

    • RE: Thrustmasters F16 TQS

      @SemlerPDX
      I would only hope that TM will offer a complete TQS to the BMS team so that they could test it out with BMS config/software. That could be a smart marketing move. If it tests out to be what they promise, and BMS team reports that, I for one would definitely buy it.
      Just thinking out loud.

    • RE: AVCS4 Immersive Voice Control Radios for VoiceAttack

      @SemlerPDX
      Question for VA users. Today I modified my TM TQS so that the UHF and VHF are both PTT.
      In BMS, my goal was to have the UHF work with ATC and the only way to talk to my wingman or flight was to use VHF. Example: on the ground and if I push the PTT/VHF, I still communicate with ATC. I see the VHF light up on the ICP, but I would think ATC should not hear me. In the air with a wingman, I can comm with him with both UHF and VHF.

      I am NOT complaining. I can just continue with this as is. I just wonder if others see this.
      Maybe there is a setting in VA that I missed.

      Semler, Your profile is awesome. Great job.

      @Echo
      Thx. I did log into TM tech support page and I did ask if they have tested this hardware with BMS. I will let everyone know when I get a email response.

      TM said to me in their email that a smart phone cable can be used as a substitute. I am having them send me a replacement since it is their responsibility.
