4.37.6 update, THANK YOU Devs!
Just installed it. First, tested the “OpenXR Menu Blackout” issue in Varjo OpenXR, FIXED! Then went for broke, test XRNeckSafer and it WORKS! Whole experience seems pretty darn perfect now, can’t thank you guys enough! Happy Holidays!

So what you are really telling me is no one is interested in flying the sim as is, they would rather wait for 4.38. So 4.37 is just a place holder for 4.38? Also you are telling everyone who has worked on a theater to this point, have are wasting their time. There was no hidden agenda in what I wrote, so "what you are really telling me " is exactly what I said. I simply offered advice to keep you from wasting your time. As you stated, you were trying some some of hi-res Hawaii terrain 20+ years ago and failed/gave up. Pretty much every aspect of theater creation has changed, There are so many theaters already available now for 4.37 that developing a new one from scratch, with 4.38 nullifying the effort even if you got it done by the time it’s released, is a waste. And to your twisted interpretation, yes, no one will be flying 4.37 once 4.38 comes out.
If you want to learn to build a theater for 4.37 just for you to play on old hardware, do it, enjoy!

Are you running 4.36.2? If so the update to ITO v1.06.2 (for 4.36 U2) was released today, go to Page 1 of this thread , download the new release, follow the instructions…

@Crossup The reason is that nothing in a theatre you make now will be used in a 4.38 theatre. It will be useless in 4.38. As for release they are estimating next Christmas sometime not two years from now.
Oh really… where is the post saying that it will be released at that time? I should adjust my alarms then…
lolWe don’t talk about release dates, as a community we simply accept it will come when it comes. You show up here with a myopic outlook, thinking only of what you need, just for you, and expect everyone to cheer you on… Campaign/Theater developers do it for the love of the sim and the joy it will bring the community.

@LorikEolmin for WMR (G2) headsets no wand is required. Same beginning, start Steam, Add a Game (bottom left of Games library window)/ Add a Non-Steam game/ Browse to x: Falcon BMS 4.37\Launcher.exe (it will use the old Launch interface), it will show up with a checked box, then clik Add Selected games. It will show up as “Launcher” in the Steam Games List, go to properties to rename it to BMS Falcon 4.37 VR (if you like), and check off “Include in VR Library” in the bottom of the window. Go to Manage / Add Desktop Shortcut if you want to start it from there.
Now start SteamVR / Settings/Video, make sure Advanced Settings is on, click “Per Application Video Settings”, Pull down the “Manage Video Settings for:” window and select “Falcon BMS 4.37 VR” (or whatever you named BMS in Steam). Bottom of the window is “Override World Scale”, select "Normal "(50% to 200%), scroll down and you will see the new slider, increase to where you want it…
I have not tested in game yet, but should work the same.
Edit: seems to work just fine, I even set my resolution to 120% and still get a steady 90FPS in IA, Campaign may drop it…

XRNeckSafer works fine if running BMS in native OpenXR, what won’t work is if you are Running Steam’s OpenXR layer… The author is not sure of a solution at this time.

I understand your points, and it would be great if BMS built them in, but they don’t. @Noodle pointed to some help on BFM, there are many other sources out there (outside BMS) also. The Threat Guide gives you the basics on what do do against a threat, again YT videos by some great people can guide you -
I personally avoid A-G strafing as it’s a great way to get whacked by a ManPad… but it’s the same premise as any other WWI/WWII/Korea/Jet age sim out there… Maybe some new videos from @fisgas ! -

Yes, with Helios you can do it directly or actually tell it to use RTT (i find this to work better) in the Falcon Interface tab and you simply place the MFDs using the Helios interface and it will create an RTTClient.ini file for you… Here is whatmy file looks like -

Understood. In reality all I use MC for is to re-stock my squadron stores (and in the past to move objects erroneously placed in runways) and WDP to update my kneeboards, so please just be sure to include those functions…

The dev is not in tge BMS team anymore and both tools use functions that are basically not maintainable if you are not withing the Dev Team and have access to the datastructures of some of the binary files such as cam/tac where wdp reads most of the data fromI thought I had read that a similar set of tools was being developed for 4.38, is that not happening now?

@mbarb what are your graphics settings in-game? BMS AA takes a huge hit on FR (or at least did with previous builds), maybe reduce it…
