In my signature I have the link for it. Click on it and you will see… the light.
Thanks a lot for that - I’m blinded!

Take a look at my hotlist.
Thanks Arty. I’m afraid I don’t know what your ‘hotlist’ is! Sorry. Can you enlighten me?
Is your Windows text size setting set different than 100%?
You can also edit the size of the comm window by editing this file:
\Data\Art\ckptart\menu.dat
Thanks Icarus, that did the trick.
I edited the menu.dat file to add in this line ‘#resolution 2560 1440 375 2000 700 2400’ and also added:
#resolution 2560 1440
#font 0 1 0 8 Arial
#font 1 1 0 10 Arial
#font 2 0 0 8 Arial
#font 3 1 0 10 Arial
#font 4 1 0 10 Arial
to the otwfonts.dat file.
All working great now!
Regarding the scaling, as I said in a post above, changing that from 200% to 100% made no difference. The issue was the same.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that was not the answer. I tried running at 2560x1440 with my native res set to 100% scaling and it made no difference. Same issue with Tower options box.
OK guys, a new problem. The Tower menu doesn’t display correctly. See attached.
I think you have to fit your body to BMS rather than try BMS working with your way.
1.Change Screen Resolution setting to WQHD every time before launching windowed BMS. No need to reboot and it’s much faster than booting TARGET or any other joystick drivers to run profiles.
2.Try using a mouse to pan view or purchase reasonable free track clip from eBay.(or EDtracker)
By the way talking about how to pan around the view. I think there still is a way to do it with your touchpad.
According to BMS-Manual by enabling mouselook option you don’t have to hold right click to pan view and just simply moving mouse would allow you to look around.
By default it is Alt+2 to toggle “mouselook - clickable pit”3.If 1. doesn’t help to keep PDF window size when alt+tab from BMS, Print it or use a tablet to read BMS-Training.
(Cheap tablet?)
Don’t know about cheap, but yes, I remembered earlier that I had previously used my iPad sitting next to the screen for this. Sorted!
A whole lot easier and cheaper than even thinking about printing hundreds of bits of paper!
Not really tried the hat switch or POV hat. When I do testing in the cockpit without my TrackIR, I just use the mouse…. right click and drag. Sorry.
Discovered that the trackpad 2-finger tap up and down works superbly as view zoom. Just as in DCS. Only thing I need to do now as re-assign the right mouse click to a key, as that won’t work with a touchpad/trackpad.
OK guys, I’ve come across a practical issue with this problem. How do I do any training mission? Because there is no dialogue in BMS training (unlike DCS, for example) surely it is necessary to alt-tab to the Training Manual pdf, no? If so, then it is impossible for me as the Adobe Reader window, of course, changes it’s size and position, and reading the manual is impossible!
Also, is it possible to assign the mouse right-click to a key?
We’ll it has to do with resolution, does the other apps you refrer to go low as 1024x768?
U could try dos box and go VGA res thus 640x480. See what happens.
 that I want to see: a 27" super ultra hd monitor playing dos PACMAN.Also it’s a Mac , well win Mac thing.
Mostly in hw.
Apple doesn’t provide good support for her products for other platforms. Many many examples out there which ppl don’t know, until they face them .
I also have one , my mini Mac doesn’t go to the res of hd ready which is my tv. 900€ and doesn’t do basic staff.
It’s a Mac, but I feel that is irrelevant. In native Windows, it’s the same as any other Windows machine, Intel i7, AMD GPU, Hitachi HDD/SSD, Corsair DDR3 RAM, etc. The only Apple stuff comes with drivers for the Trackpad, Keyboard, Bluetooth, etc. The monitor uses the Microsoft driver, the GPU uses the latest AMD Crimson drivers, sound is AMD HD. If users have any issues with running Windows, it is usually to do with trackpad, keyboard etc.
Dell also produce a 5120x2880 monitor. I don’t know if anyone here has tried that.
(I’ll give DOS box a go when I have time, thanks - might be interesting!)
