@maxwaldorf Thanks I will give that a try. I think I will make a new installation and backup my old one in case I muck something up. I don’t think I have my original Setup folder anymore in any case.

4.35 Upgrade Advice
Greetings all,
Will an upgrade from 4.34 to 4.35 carry over my existing settings on my current 4.34 installation? I would hate to lose any settings (including but not limited to keybindings) that I have on my existing installation. Are there any manual setup tasks I will need to go through after installation such as joystick recalibration etc.?\
Thanks for the help

RE: SmoothTrack
Thanks for the input, I’ll consider other options when I come back to it. I’m very cautious about spending anything more on it now, since its not nearly as good as I imagined it to be in my head.

RE: SmoothTrack
If you have the feel you have to move your head to much in order to see the consoles use the curves in Opentrack to translate less physical moment to more in game movement

The problem with that is then every small movement gets picked up and I have to keep my head very still. I’m trying to set up deadzones using the Mapping function in OpenTrack but I can’t seem to find a setting I am comfortable with. Head tracking might not be for me though. Panning around with the thumbstick on my Logitec G13 seems more natural. It was good to give it a try though.

RE: SmoothTrack
I also just installed SmoothTrack. This is my first time using any kind of head tracking. It was picked up in Falcon without any tweaking from me, aside from installing SmoothTalk on my Android and OpenTrack on my PC. I’m finding it rather difficult to use because there is a small but noticeable delay between me shifting my head position and the software moving the view. Also, viewing the left and right consoles in the cockpit is difficult because of how much I have to turn my head left/right and downward, while still looking at the screen. I changed all the settings I can find but haven’t found something I was comfortable with. I’m wondering if this delay is what separates it from the more expensive options. I’m considering getting a refund because in this state its far easier to use my left thumbstick to control head movement. However this could be just my inexperience and I welcome any input.

RE: Cannot apply "Fly F-16's Only" modification after applying U1-4 to 4.33 installation
Yeah ummm thanks but I use that option so that I don’t need to check that I’m in the F-16. It’s pretty useful.

RE: Cannot apply "Fly F-16's Only" modification after applying U1-4 to 4.33 installation
I haven’t even downloaded 4.33, much less installed it. It was definitely 4.34. Is there any kind of workaround?
Thanks

Cannot apply "Fly F-16's Only" modification after applying U1-4 to 4.33 installation
I just applied all updates U1-4 to my F4 installation without any apparent problems in the installation process. However, when I go into Config at the Launcher screen and attempt to activate the “Fly F-16’s Only” modification, I get the following message when i try to apply changes:
Failed to apply patch Fly F-16’s Only – File mismatch. E:\Program Files\Falcon BMS 4.34\data\campaign\validac.act does not match E:\Program Files\Falcon BMS 4.34\F4Patch\persist\campaign\validac.act or C:\Users\Jason\AppData\Local\Temp\f4pD85F.tmp\newfile\campaign\validac.act.
Do I just need to do some manual file swap or is it more complicated? I appreciate the help
