I’m expressing only a general wish to Santa Klaus:) .
I’m sure the devs knows what can / cannot be developed within the limited time / human resources and I support and encourage them 100%.
Well, to be honest, I have another wish, but I know it’s not realistic to happen.
Since bms has , IMO, the best flight model in the entire sim world industry (military and civilian) and the developers are so talented, I would like to see a non FBW aircraft (even a trainer like the T-2) to be modeled in depth,
so we can learn, like real pilots, to really ‘‘fly’’ an aircraft without the FBW shit. I would like to master basic stuff like adverse yaw / coordinates turns, rudder usage in high AoA for roll control, spins, opposite stick / rudder inputs in crosswind landings etc.

RE: Ff you could have one thing in the next update it would be…
Full f-16 avionics/ systems implementation with the latest / newer tape version (6.2 is the current tape?).
That would be of course a behemoth task I imagine.
Another cool feature would be to be able to select in TE training missions an AI as Nr 1 to practice formation flying offline (level flight and turns).
In 4.32 that worked pretty well, I made a cap mission and the leader was flying in the cap station smooth turns, me following him as Nr. 2.
In 4.33 it’s not working so anymore, during turns, the AI is employing air brakes initially followed by full AB so it’s impossible to stay in close formation.
In DCS i select the respective orbit option, that works very well. -
RE: Formation Tips Request
How I have learnt close formation flying offline:
- As mentioned above, learn first to fly close formation as nr.2 with AI as nr. 1 in long straight lines.
- Next step is flying in close formation with turns. Create a 2 - ship Bar - cap mission, cap steerpoints separation 10nm and 90 - 180 deg. , duration 20 - 30 minutes. Fly the mission as nr.2 . The AI will fly an orbit in the cap station, making smooth turn’s between the 2 steerpoints. The distance between them determines how long straight flying you have between the turning points. Also, the position between the two steerpoints will determine, if the cap is left or right handed, I alternate between the 2.
This method, works for me only in 4.32, in 4.33 the AI is flying very different (idle and speed brakes open in the beginning of the turn, followed by full AB). Haven’t installed 4.33.1 yet. - Same in DCS, in the mission editor there is an orbit flying option.
- In fsx, I fly a mission solo recording the flight with fs recorder (freeware). I write down the turns (left or right) to remember them and fly the mission as I would have if next to me were a wingman (smooth turns, steady speed etc). Now I playback with fsrecorder the mission
in a second aircraft as a wingman flying close formation with myself. - Practice practice practice. The secret for close formation is making very small adjustments in pitch / roll and speed. The throttle movement should be 1% ( is a vey nice video - in greek -taken from a real HAF breefing, the pilot mentions the need for these small adjustments).

Perhaps this? (post 1576)

Could you also iclude (as an option) the pilot leg mode and Tomcatz’s upgraded cockpit textures?
They are amazing!
Or do you have some other surprises for the cockpit ? (your post 58

RE: Iff you could have one thing in the next update it would be. (Archive)
One thing i want is simulate simple training flights (like the Real pilots) and not always combat flights, where you / you wingman / the enemys get shoot down.
I mean i want to create a TE Mission, fly in formation with my wingman , do a 2 vs 2 dogfight / BVR engagement against an enemy formation, and both of us return home (and not only me :).
An option is to use the invunerable option, but 1) that’s only for the Human Player 2) i want to die, if i crash (accidentally) on the ground (like in real life).
Don’t know if this technically possible, or possible without rewritting the whole code.
Perhaps an option ‘‘invunerable from missiles / guns’’ for all AI aircrafts + plus an option to ‘‘terminate’’ the engagement, after a success missile hit. -
RE: WIP - East Mediterranean Front theater (EMF) theater
Hi guys and happy new year!
I can’t install harpoon’s pilot mod in EMF properly.
The pilot body is there, but the engine and flight instruments are black.
Any idea to solve the problem? -
RE: Untitled
Will have to sitck to F-16 avionics and specificities.
No ressources to add avionics stuff for other a/c.
Are your reffering to Technical maintenance manuals?
Because the Mirage f1 cyrano manual has a lot of Technical data (range, scan angles etc.) regarding avionics.
Also, there is available the General mirage f1c manual -
RE: Untitled
Very sad:p:p:p
My dream was always to fly in a Greek Mirage F1CG (with the classic C cockpit).
Keep up the excellent work! -
RE: Untitled
Grate news!
The C.14 has the classic F1 cockpit or an upgraded?
