I haven’t posted in a while so I thought I would post this as it was brought to my attention on my Facebook page by one of the Viper pilots in my unit.

Since you use “Start 2”, that depletes both bottles. Your crew chief will have to go get the T-handle and pump it back up. It takes 200 pumps by hand to get the bottles to a pre-charge 2850-3250 psi. Your all set to hit the “Start 2” switch again. I know this from hands on experience.
Update.
The new version 4.5.0 include some fixes.
The following is changelog.
- Added reflection effect of EHSI window film.
- Fixed RWR Azimuth Indicator.
- Fixed the backlight of RPM Indicator.
- Changed the color of air conditioner duct.

Here is a picture of the CPD taken from one of the F-16’s in my unit. The TCN/ILS rotary and the HDG rotary are just plain EL panels just as with the fuel panel switch on the right side. You could technically put it back if you wanted to. Just my thought. This picture was taken at last years air show.
Nice work!

Just saw this… just like in the old OF days… but you are a military pilot how are you going to find time ?
Its called sequestration……
Thanks for the info. I never said/wrote they were on the NLG itself, unless I miss something. Additionally, I know the F-16 is constantly changing, hence the signature. Furthermore, not all USAF/ANG/AFR block 30 have been modified, same way not all block 30 have AIFF like the guys in Madison.

Very true mvgas. We have been installing the BLOS. Not sure how many Block 30’s will get this mod. Each unit tasking is a little different than others. I guess when it comes to the spending the people at the top will make those decisions. Also, it is if the kits are availble at the time. If they take the airframe time out to 10,000 hours then its hard to say what else will be done to them.
Depends,
USAF block 25, 30 and 32 still have Taxi and landing light on the MLG. AFAIK, they also can only carry AAQ-14 (25/30/32) and AAQ-28 (30/32). I think some are getting updated to AAQ-33 (blk 30/32) but I’m not sure. In either case they do no carry the AAQ-13.
Some block 20 were converted to carry the taxi/landing light on the NLG door.
The lights are not on the NLG. They are mounted on the door. My unit flies Block 30’s and they are located on the NLG door for almost a year and a half now. 301st FW, Ft. Worth, TX. Look across the runway and see where the Viper is/was built.
