@Amadeus75 Thank you Amadeus, I’ve been wondering about that for some time.

RE: Thrustmaster blues
@Kavelenko Hello Kavelenko, Thanks for your input and illustrations. I actually already attempted the settings you suggested but I was still in 4.36.3 and achieved no joy on the throttle quadrant. I downloaded and installed 4.37 and the new launcher. I don’t seem to be able to get the launcher to do anything for me but the controls section in game now seems to be responding to my t16000m throttle. Weird. Anyway thank you for your help. This is a good community. Oh, and btw, come and visit me on the high road sometime, the view is wonderful from up here.

RE: Thrustmaster blues
@airtex2019 Omg, that is too funny. When I read your post it was like a brick in the face, lol. Yes, those guys are those things! It wasn’t part of my my thought process when I wrote it ha ha. I realize there is a pretty good curve to this whole affair but to guys who aren’t used to having to do this stuff to try to get things to work, it’s almost a kneecapping. I’m a huge believer in RTFM so I’ll read what you sent me and start from there. Thanks guys for chiming in and helping a noob. Oh btw, I am still on 4.36.3 getting ready to go to 4.37 but I have already downloaded the new Launcher and the throttle doesn’t seem to be responding there either. But I’ll keep at it because I seriously want to participate in multiplayer events. I watch you guys on you tube running missions and it just makes me crazy to want to do this. Thank you!

Thrustmaster blues
You guys are kidding right? Does one have to go to coding school and learn calculus and become an Astronaut just to be able to plug a joy stick and throttle quadrant in and have this most high end of sims recognize it? Surely you jest. I’m in setup, it sees my thrustmaster t16000 trottle quadrant and my 3d pro extreme, and yet, no joy on throttle quadrant. Then I come here and am seeing …" oh yea, you gotta unhook the thermonuclear aborigine from the terminal Eskimo and then reroute all of the blatfitz to farngarn." C’mon…seriously? is it going to be this hard?

RE: Unable to download Sim, please help!
<p>Ok, I think I’ve fixed it. I downloaded Bittorrent and it successfully downloaded it. I then ran into a problem running “setup”. I assume because it still had those last vestiges the former install. I kept getting the error message… <br /><br />"The registry entry points to a folder that does not contain a valid<br />Falcon BMS 4.35 install. Please restore the missing files and try <br />again or remove the registry entry (HKLM\SOFTWARE\Benchmark Sims\Falcon BMS 4.35) to be<br /> able to install the product again. Path: F:\Games 2TB F drev\Falcon BMS 4.35\ "<br /><br /><br />This is from reddit…<br /><span style=“color:#1a1a1b”>I just had a look at the path for mine, for some reason it’s in HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Benchmark Sims instead, so if you can’t find it at your path check this one as well.</span><br /> <br /><br /><br />So I did the registry removal bit. Found it at “WOW6432Node” location as the guy from reddit did, removed it and now it looks like it’s going to work. Here’s to hoping the install goes smoothly.<br /></p>

Unable to download Sim, please help!
<p>Don’t know where to post this. I had 4.35 installed for awhile now. I somehow managed to overwrite my “full” key bindings and were unable to retrieve them. So I thought i would just delete it all and reinstall with a fresh 4.35 3 version. I find my way to this new BMS site and attempt to download the sim. I’ve downloaded qbittorrent and it didn’t work and I downloaded “Transmission” and it won’t work either. I tried to use the “http dropbox” thing and it looks like it’s downloading an rar file but upon download it won’t open and says it was removed. At present I’m absolutely crushed as I have deleted the 4.35 I had and now have nothing. Any help would be appreciated. And sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.</p>

RE: Joystick & Input Devices - new subforum
Hi Icer. Wow, I’m flabbergasted. I downloaded the alternative launcher and as soon as I opened it I saw the flight controls labeled “Toe Brake” “Right Toe Brake” and I thought ok, now we’re getting somewhere….silly me. No matter what I do those two axis will not accept input from any device, not my keyboard, mouse, joystick. Every other mapping assignment with any other input i.e. keyboard, mouse , joystick works perfectly. I can assign any other command to any device I have. But the “Toe brakes” “K button” and “alt B” remain no joy. I won’t contact you again because I’m sure the last thing you need is some noob bothering you. But I just have to say I find it sad and frustrating that a Sim so well conceived has this seemingly ridiculous (key mapping) roadblock in the way of having a wonderful experience. Every other function that this Sim can perform with keyboard and joystick works as advertised. But no brakes of any kind. p.s. The thrill of starting the aircraft my first time was absolutely exhilarating. Now, I walk around each day and no matter what activity I’m doing I can’t stop thinking about what might have been. Thanks for trying to help, I truly appreciated it.

RE: Joystick & Input Devices - new subforum
Icer… thanks so much for the help. Problem remains because when I go to the advanced tab and flight controls I see that there is a brake axis and a right toe brake axis, but both are assigned to keyboard(i have no idea which keys) and I cannot alter them. You said " assign left tb to brake and the right tb to right tb… but what am I assigning to “left toe brake” and " right toe brake? A keyboard command, a joystick button? Although it doesn’t seem to matter because I can’t alter them anyway ha ha. I’m not the most advanced pc user but I made my way through 4.35 install and u1. I’ve been reading the instructions for alternate launcher and I have a question… do I really have to do all the back up work? or can I just install it. Or will it potentially smash my 4.35 and u1 install? So sorry to bother you but I think if I can get past this hurdle I can go a long way by myself with the manuals. Thanks in advance

RE: Joystick & Input Devices - new subforum
Hello Falcon BMS community, and as Jack Black said in Year One…I’d like to welcome me to you. Wow, the big brains who built this should win the Nobel prize for sims. Ok, I’ve burned almost two ink cartridges printing manuals (not done yet) so I can have my tech pub library right beside me for quick ref, I know the rule…RTFM. Here’s my deal. I’m in training trying to start with ground ops and I’m all good on startup… until I get to the EPU test. No matter what I do I can’t get brakes to engage, so no going past the 80% throttle up procedure as the aircraft just rolls right over the chocks. Created my own mapping profile in setup, but for the life of me I don’t see anything labeled as “toe brake” in the mapping list. Only wheel brakes and “alt b” chnnl toggle. I’ve googled, watched you tube vids and cannot find a solution. Have “K” button mapped on keyboard and to one of my logitech extreme pro 3d buttons but no joy when I press and hold. Any ideas?
