RE: HARM POS Problems
@Dracfalcon it’s my understanding that it should at least enter a glide until a signal is received, if ever received at all. Why else would the range bracket and hud flash if it weren’t ready? Being POS mode, shouldn’t it at least head toward the POSition and not just nose dive?

RE: HARM POS Problems
BINGO! BEAUTIFUL! I removed it and just use the spacebar. It was a thing of beauty!
Thanks. A HOTAS is planned, but not immediately.

RE: X56 Throttle Tension
@PAKON4 yeah, that’s what I’m figuring and curious if anyone else has experienced the same.

X56 Throttle Tension
My throttle has started getting kind of clunky and making a lot of noise. Sometimes the tension knob on the left side won’t turn unless I’m holding the actual throttle in a certain spot and then sometimes it does not want to turn. It’s making the throttle very noisy and very clunky sounding. Thoughts and advice?

RE: Alt Launcher - Setup HSI Hdg/Crs Rotary
@D_Lourdes On my Logitech X56 I have a rotary dial mapped to do the same thing, as per a recent thread I started on the same issue. I was guided as you have been here.
I found that setting it to the 5 degree worked best as it allowed me to adjust it both as 1 and 5 degrees, depending on how aggressive and fast I turn the dial. Small movements allow me to make small adjustments, but faster rotation allows me to jump further along allowing me to rapidly turn the heading bug.
Try yours on 5 and see if you have the same results.

RE: Logitech X56 dial “F”
With the heading bug mapped to the dial, I’m finding myself using it more than I thought I would! I’ve also chose the 5° not the 1° so it gives me an option to move it rapidly and fine-tune it.

RE: Logitech X56 dial “F”
@oakdesign I mapped the heading control knob to the dial F in the key mapper as you show in your little snippet screenshot. The entry took in the key mapper. When I went in game and actually turned the dial, the heading bug did not move. I don’t know why. I’ve since gone back into the launcher remapped it again in the same manner, went back into the game and it does in fact move the heading bug 1° for every click on dial F. This issue to me is finished thank you, I’m good to go. All seems to be working.

… I also need to get off my phone and try and work this sitting in front of the actual computer.

RE: Logitech X56 dial “F”
Frankly, the entire issue is just one of curiosity as how many people actually use the heading bug when they fly? Most flights are going to be following the preplanned flight plan using steer points. Making it the heading bug is really not necessary and I’m actually moving away from even doing it in the first place. I can make a heading knob with one of the dials on my loupedeck and I may go with that and then try to find something better to use for the dial in question. I will look through this when I’m finished with all my yardwork and actually have some time to sit back down and look at it again.
Again, I was only comparing what it did in the game set up and the launcher set up, not using one over the other or trying to mix both. FYI, I did set that knob to move 1° each direction in the Key mapping, but when I went in game, it did not actually recognize it. Again, it’s really all a non-issue just a bit of curiosity for instructional purposes.

RE: Logitech X56 dial “F”
@Carbide my last post on this because I don’t want it to turn into an online fight.
It was the do yourself a favor and follow advice comment. Unnecessary. I’m following advice. I’m just posting some results that I found; observations on the issue.
I’ve seen it in many other forums, not related to this, where somebody asks a question or post a comment or something and people are not patient with that person, forgetting that at some point they were at that same stage that person is now. I’ve left other forums because I get tired of seeing people looked down upon because of their skill level or their knowledge or similar.
@Carbide tnx for your interest and concern for all parties.

RE: Logitech X56 dial “F”
@Quasi_Stellar Thank you for your respectful, considerate response. I like the idea of the lights instead of the heading bug. I might have to do that instead.
