      @Magic_Yankee:

      Wow nice work dude ! How did you make the view at 50sec ? 😄

      Thanks mate! It took me a very long time to get that view, pity I didn’t have better pilot textures! I had to modify one of the top gun views manually in the .dat file for the aircraft by changing the camera position X,Y,Z values. It required a lot of trial and error to get the position correct. I am away from my PC at the moment but I can send you the values if you like. They will only work for the F-18 though. More info here:

      Had 80% of this sitting on the HD for a very long time so filled the gaps last night and published it. A few clips of AEF Hornets in the Balkans

    • RE: Three question about TGP.

      Slew speed is also fast when you have the FCR as SOI but are looking at the TGP.

      Make sure the TGP is SOI if you wish to move it directly.

    • RE: Do you use Display Radio Subtitles ?

      Off, as I find the response unrealistically fast and the scrolling text ruins video footage.

      Like others have said I throw them in the same bucket as labels.

      During times of high activity, mil radio freqs can be extremely busy. This is why a lot is done via SOP/hand signals.

    • RE: AAR and the FCR

      @Eagle-Eye:

      Slightly OT: Wouldn’t the guys in the tanker be sterilized already when your RADAR is still on at 1/2NM? Our squadron SOP, which is based in part on real BAF data (in turn compliant with NATO procedures), is to go cold no later than 10NM from tanker, so as to avoid giving the (virtual) boomer fruitless loins. 😛

      10NM is an awfully long distance for a radiation hazard. What about when you are dogfighting for training, flying in trail, or even passing behind the lead aircraft?

      HERP (hazards of elecmag radiation to personnel) on the APG 66 is only 50 feet or so I believe. Most modern radars are under 150’. If I was to guess I would say fuel vapour is more a concern for the RADHAZ when AAR rather than personnel.

    • RE: BMS 4.33 dont see Track IR 4.

      Are you running trackir as admin (this would solve the problem sometimes back in freefalcon days)

      @Cloud:

      But you could lock it up and declare it but you would probably just get a bogey call, which doesn’t determine anything.

      As I understand it, in BMS when you declare ground targets bogey means it is hostile. Yep, I understand the definition of bogey, this is just a unique “game-ism” for falcon.

    • RE: Holding Pattern Entry Boundaries

      It will differ depending on the inbound to the fix and the direction of the hold. If you get confused put you right hand (for a right hold) or your left hand (for a left hold) over the pic. Align the inbound track with your forefinger and the angle made between your forefinger and thumb is the 70 degree teardrop sector.

      There is also 5 deg of latitude for each sector, ie if you are within 5 deg you can choose.
