AFAIK yes you will be able to modify the pink area, but not as easy as drag and drop and there will be certain preset models available from the beginning.

RE: AR/XR and Falcon BMS is actually a usable feature.
@gabrielwong1991 You can already do that in VR itself when you use a sketching tablet from e.g. Huion and OpenKneeboard.
If you want to use MR for the kneeboard there will sure be ways to modify the passthrough model to your liking, but your HMD should have sufficient cameras off course, a Pico4 for example has coloured passthrough, but reading your own notes with it would be very hard to not possible. -
RE: Virtual Crew Chief for BMS
True @oakdesign
I think it’s also a good idea to add a voice command to trigger the shutdown phase of VCC in the case, you never take flight and have to taxi back before take off, then the fuel would also be over 6500 lbs and the inflight bit was never active. -
RE: Virtual Crew Chief for BMS
@Ricky Nice!
What comes to mind now for me is how to determine, wether the pilot is accidentally opening the SPIDER during the rampstart, where we not want the post recovery sequence of VCC triggered or he is opening it on purpose for shutdown. Maybe taking the total fuel into consideration would be a good idea? Normally the fuel is over 6500 lbs for rampstart and under 6500 lbs for shutdown. -
RE: Virtual Crew Chief for BMS
Sorry for the very delayed reply @Ricky … was very busy. Thank you for your work and research!
I also thought about using a post landing checklist item first, so I think the “CANOPY” light which is triggered by opening the SPIDER is a good idea.
Maybe it makes sense to combine it with something else, to ensure, the VCC only does his job, when he really is supposed to. What about also listening to the “TAXI BACK” request to start a timer in which timeframe the SPIDER needs to be opened to trigger the VCC, the timer should off course be long enough to allow the pilot taxi back from the RNWY to the parking spot. To be absolutely sure VCC only gets triggered when it makes sense, also check for the WOW lightbit in sharedmem and engine is in idle rpm or the aircraft speed is at zero. What do you think?

@qawa Awesome thank you all for the great work you are doing for us!

RE: McDD F-15C/D/E New model for BMS
Thanks for that nice work! Looks awesome and now it will be even more fun to defeat it in BFM
Where you also able to check the proportions of the new 3D cockpit? It seems to be a bit off, for example the rudderfloor does feel like its way too high, don’t you think?

RE: Virtual Crew Chief for BMS
@Ricky That sounds great! Unfortunately I do not have any information on that, but I think to ask BogeyDope would be the better way to go anyway.
What also came to mind yesterday, it would be cool to have a interaction with VCC when you need to recharge the JFS with a feedback call when its charged again -
RE: Virtual Crew Chief for BMS
Here is a little kneeboard card I made for all the current voice commands for the startup.
-
RE: Virtual Crew Chief for BMS
@Ricky Copy that no problem
What would be a nice addition are some lines from the VCC for recovery ( I know there is not much, but there is a little ) welcoming back the jet and for putting in chocks and the EPU pin. -
RE: Virtual Crew Chief for BMS
Hi Guys,
thank you again for your amazing work to bring this to BMS for us!
Are you planning on a version 1.2 currently, to add some more recordings of BogeyDope maybe?
AFAIK there have been talks about it at least, so I just wanted to check in, if there are any new updates planned for this -
RE: Cockpit panel drawings
@Zeus The renderings provided in the Cockpit Interaction Guide are made and therefore also copyrighted by Pegasus (the guy behind xflight.de).

RE: IRIS-T LOAL/Datalink Functionality?
Interesting fact to add here: The IRIS-T LOAL was never tested with a real missile, as it is to dangerous to test. It has the capability and its tested from a software point of view, but there was no life fire test yet - if there ever would be one, it might be in anger.
Crazy to think about… -
RE: Rypley's Hangar
@Korbi The lightplates are screwed to the backplates and the edges of the lightplates are not directly matching the backplate edges, the lightplates have a slightly smaller footprint on the outline than the backplate.
-
RE: Rypley's Hangar
@Rypley Looks very promising!
Maybe you could correct the top of the toggleswitches to better match the real one. Also I’d add more details to the DZUS studs. Here are some refference pictures for you. If I can help out with more detailed pictures or overall measurements just tell me.

RE: Rypley's Hangar
@tiag Yes thats a good point! The headposition in the current BMS cockpit is also not perfect, but it matches the HUD at least.

RE: Start sequence order by tower
@Mav-jp Copy that. Maybe it’s also due to one or two other factors that it at least seems to be working better in KTO than BTO. Why this is, I cannot tell, as I have absolutely no clue of the code behind the scenes.
-
RE: Start sequence order by tower
@Mav-jp And that is okay. The sole reason we are pointing that out, is that in KTO there are no issues and in BTO there are, so the theater devs get input and feedback for their work. Maybe they are able to make it work as it does in KTO by redesigning parts of the airbase structures in BTO.
There is no point in arguing on and on, more it would be more usefull to accept the fact, that BTO currently is not working as fluid in respects to ATC as KTO does and we just report that, so it gets added to the known issues list and devs of BTO can have a look at it - IF THEY WANT and have the time
-
RE: Start sequence order by tower
The airbase in the special case is Gio del Colle in Balkans.
The issue is as explained in the beginning, ATC does not respect the taxi que according to T/O times. Thats the reason, ATC cannot hold T/O times and for extreme waiting times to get a taxi clearance. Also ATC does not send the flights to line up and wait on the RWY.
All these issues are in BALKANS, we are NOT talking KTO here.
And why Prot is reporting that behavior? In KTO everything works like described already, taxing in the correct order, T/O can be held, line up and wait commands, all like a charm.
Off course delays should and can be expected and be accounted for in planning. KTO sometimes also needs that, due to technical problems during start up etc etc, but in KTO the problems Prot described here are simply not apparent. And that is the reason he is reporting issues for Balkans ATC, as it behaviors very differently to KTO ATC.
The issues in Balkans ATC are there for a lot of versions already, its not new too, so it it is definitely a problem, not a issue of this single TE. -
RE: Start sequence order by tower
To put in a bit of context: The behavior Prot is talking about happens on a AB with two runways. There are 2 sqdn on the airbase and about 10 Aircraft planned for take off with a time seperation of two minutes between flights, all in a TE. There are no approaching aicraft.
