First of all a big thanks to everyone working and contributing to BMS!
My one naval aviation fan wish:
- A fully developed F18 (either Legacy Hornet or Super Hornet, with realistic avionics and systems) and naval operations expanded.

@Tunza if you use QFE (0 altitude at aerodrome) then all minimum safe altitudes in charts are off. If an aerodrome is at 500ft and MSA is 2000ft, means there’s a 1500ft between aerodrome and safe altitude which you need to respect (either by following the instrument procedures or by being visual with the ground). If you would set the altimeter to 0, all other altitudes in charts would be off - hence aviation uses mostly QNH, so that when atc gives you an altitude related instruction or information, everyone is on the same reference point, which matches charts and all other references. Altitudes given by ATC and charts are almost always AMSL (above mean sea level), traffic pattern altitudes are usually AGL (above ground level) and need to be converted - for example: a 1500ft traffic circuit at a 300ft elevation aerodrome is actually flown at 1800ft AMSL.
One of the few times QFE should be used is on aerobatic flights, to have reference to ground (keep in mind these flights are always taken under visual conditions).
