I have never used the shapeways gimbal, so not to sure how it holds up. However, with that said, I do know that some 3d printed things can be made that are as strong as steel.

RE: Advice on broken Cougar?
Try this link:
https://www.shapeways.com/product/KTM9G6PGC/replacement-cougar-gimbal-1?optionId=61311022
Look at the instructions link, that will take you to DCS where he has a list of all the parts to fix the cougar.

RE: Kolbys key file
That is not what I said. The keyfiles exist in the Falcon BMS 4.34 user config folder. There are five files there with a “.KEY file” ending. You can load them in a text editor (i use notebook++) to edit when not in game. You can load any key file in game in setup/controllers/load. I highly recommend that you back up these files in your config folder before edit/looking/opening them. I would recommend that you read the docs before you change anything.

RE: Kolbys key file
Kolbe is the person that made the layout for the bms keyfiles and the author of the documents about the keyfiles. You can find the keyfiles in the doc’s folder and other documentation in the The Manual and The Technical Manual.

RE: Thrustmaster tech support
Not really sure what you want, but you might try this link
https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/product/topgunafterburnerffb-en/
This might be all the info they have, after all, this is a 20 year old controller. I was kind of surprised that it was USB instead of gameport.

RE: Falcon 4 set up
BMS is based on the original Falcon 4 simulation, so no Falcon: Allied Force. Now go the Forums [ForumFalcon BMS TopicsDocumentation4.34 BMS Documention release] and get the manual’s. Read Red Dogs short post that explains what each manual does. I would and did start with the BMS-Manual. Purpose: Simulation specific explanation: Installation, Configuration, UI, TEs, Campaigns, Views, Multiplayer. From here there are many paths to follow. Just remember the whole purpose of the sim is to have fun.

RE: Mistake in training manual?
Keep reading, you have a few more pages to see. You also might look in the doc files for “1_README_FIRST_How_to_use_Docs.”

RE: -Ice's Falcon BMS Helios Profile Updated… Again!
It is all about how you want to interface with the simulation. A few people use a keyboard to play with the sim, and a few use a full cockpit. In between, there are many people with sticks, throttles, rudder petals, multiple monitors, input devices, etc. You do not have to understand it, just except that everyone is different and we have different ways of how we do the same thing – having fun flying a great sim.

RE: Noobie looking for help - Helios/Cockpit extraction - is it still supported
Go to the docs folder in the BMS 4.34 folder and there are two documents you need to read. The first one is the BMS - Manual which explains the install and other basic stuff. The second one is BMS - Technical-Manual which explains whats new, controllers, YAME, etc.

RE: Other joystick profiles?
He is asking about programming two different devices to interact with the same programming. I am not sure that it is possible in target for the TM WH throttle and I have no idea what the other stick bases use.
