First let me thank the entire BMS team for all the hard work and congrats on yet another brilliant release!!
Now to my question, i noticed while reading the -34 in the ECM section that there are references to the ALE-50 towed decoy and some of its function. Is this a placeholder for the future or is the system implemented?

ALE-50?

RE: OFMKTO 1.6 for BMS 4.37
@MaxWaldorf True. Still, i wanna see a more scientific estimation from a knowledgeable person, ballpark figures are good enough for us civies.

RE: F15 firing an AIM120 C at 43 nautical miles on an F16 with its ECM on
@Rouge1512 The f-15 is jammed with program 5 not 4. Same with the Mig-31. All other aircraft, program 4

CZ-Double TMS AFT
Has this functionality been added or in the plans to do so?

RE: OFMKTO 1.6 for BMS 4.37
@farazparsa I was referring to the real world systems. Vanilla BMS doesn’t have 20’s and 21’s but i think this theater does?

RE: F15 firing an AIM120 C at 43 nautical miles on an F16 with its ECM on
@CheckPoint Also, i forgot to mention that if you want maximum jamming performance in mode 3, only one program should be active. It was in the changelog for u2 but really a fine print that someone could miss. Did some tests with multiple programs active and the hostile could burnthrough further away as he should so make sure you have the correct program selected. Basically in all campaigns as BLUFOR you use only program 4 and when Ruzzia enters the war, pay attention for mig-31’s and use program 5.

RE: Link 16 things you want in the next update
So my Link 16 things wishlist is following:
General system features:
-Possibility to set transmission power aswel as set receive only mode.
-Possibility to zero the keys (just like it is with IFF already) making system useless
-DTC initialization procedure
-Multiple channel selection for fighter to fighter aswel as mission control
-HMCS integration (for showing PDLT and so)Fighter to fighter related:
-SEAD datalink
-AMRAAM shoot lines (you will know at wich targets your buddies guide AMRAAMs at)
-Lock lines for wingmen AA tracks
-Secondary target transmission
-HTS triangulation
-Expanded data format for friendly aircraft
-All the basics like transmitting SPI, markpoints, friendly positions and soMission Control related (AWACS and so on):
-Expanded data format (to see things like type of threat), that would get rid of the radio clutter as it would be no longer needed to use declare!
-Mission Assignment for things like CAS and so on (AI AFAC would transmit those messages when you are CAS flight and you check in). WARNING! Knowing what is MA may make you banned on ED forum, so use that knowledge with care
-Mission Assignment for AA targets (AI AWACS would send them for CAP, SWEEP and interception flights).
-Friendly tracks (air defense, non air defense, naval and so)
-Enemy tracks (air, naval, air defense, non air defense ground targets)You got a lot of info on L16 there:
http://falcon.blu3wolf.com/Docs/MLU_M3.pdfGenerally speaking L16 would be my biggest wish for BMS at this time. Hope it will come at some point (i know it won’t be soon but i am rather petient men).
Seeing how well the BMS team integrated IFF, I am very confident they can integrate link 16 well, what with all the individual aircraft ID’s, theater wide elements, etc. However, real time dynamic mission assignments seem like a nightmare to code. Perhaps the AWACS cab be made to datalink you the closest Airthreats when asking for picture.

RE: AI going to low to drop LGB's
@Mav-jp Today they dropped to 10kft without the slightest cloud in sight. Might be worth checking out.

RE: Except for F-16, is there Other aircrafts that use DataLink ?
@regev In my experience in BMS, most aircraft integrate nicely with the IDM datalink. I tasked an OCA package the other day featuring F-22’s, F–16’s and a single growler. All id’s showed properly.

RE: Editing Weapons in the database editor
Ask molnibalage, he’s made some extensive editing. Other that that what i have to offer is the falcon radar formula, important to know if you are gonna be changing detection ranges and ECM. Here goes:
(RADAR NOMINAL RANGE x TARGET RCS) x OWNRADAR JAMMER PENALTY
Example. The f16cm b52 has the radar type 1 in the editor. It has a nominal detection range of 35NM (increases slightly in ULS mode). An su27 has an RCS of 1.3 in BMS. This means you will see him at 45.5 nm’s. If he is jamming you then you apply your radar jamming penalty multiplier of 0.480. This means 45 x 0.480= 21.6 Nm’s. Now you know what to edit to get the performances you want
There other things like notch penalty’s, look down penalty’s etc.

@SLangner Yeah, dont worry about it, the grading system is borked since sp3 back in 2004.

RE: HTS expanded view bug
I concur but i always thought it was intentionally that way.

RE: Missing A2A radar bands.
@AviationPlus sadly it doesnt. I need the table from the dash34 before update 2 that had the specific bands for aircraft FCRs. The threat guide doesn’t have them.

Missing A2A radar bands.
The dash34 removed the radar/band table and says the info is in the threat guide. That’s true for SAM radars, not for aircraft fcr’s. I know most of them are jammed with program 4 at the h-i bands but some require program 5 and without that reference table, its just guesswork.

RE: OFMKTO 1.6 for BMS 4.37
@Mav-jp Hey mav, i am extremely interested to see your estimations on the S-400. I have a hard time buying how a missile not particularly larger than that of the SA-10 and SA-20 can have those insane advertised ranges. Public info for sa-10 = 50nm, sa-20 = 100nm, sa-21 = 200nm. Thoughts? Sure, electronics got lighter since the 80’s, making the weapon lighter. Sure, rocket fuel might have gotten a bit better (has it?) But 300% increase in max range from sa-10 to sa-21??
