Still anticipating the Mac Edtion of the GTX-980 or that a flash.ROM comes available, this is my best interim solution.
Downgraded my NVidia 8800GT Mac Edition to the original ATI 2600 HD XT Mac Edition (I always keep a spare just in case, et voila good choice after-all ). Because the 8800GT could not be updated anymore from the 340.52 driver, and the GTX-670 is the only NVidia GPU in my Mac Pro, I updated to the latest 344.75 WHQL. Running BMS with full specs @40-60fps.
1. GTX-670-FTW-4GB (PC) -> 24" HP + 22" Iiyama touchscreen for MFD extraction
NVidia 344.75 WHQL
2. ATI 2600 HD XT (MAC) -> 19" Syncmaster for Mac OSX bootscreens & performance monitor while e.g. gaming
Display Driver ver. 8.97.100.7
OpenCL Driver 10.0.937.2
Catalyst Control Center 2012.1116.1514.27190
Now I have THE GREEN & RED team onboard!
Will they keep the peace and don’t start any (driver) conflict?
Or, how about this as my new desktop background picture?
Anyhow, very happy with my ‘new’ setup, specially the fps and very smooth performance with the new 344.75 WHQL on the GTX-670.
Cheers!
