Finally I bought it!
It works great with my laptop’s webcam and shows 29fps even in a darkened room! What’s more, it allows the vJoy sliders to be controlled simultaneously with the TrackIR, defining any segment of any of the 6 tracking axes as an “overlay” for the vJoy, which is very interesting as it gives me the ability to dynamically change the FOV when I reach the maximum allowed travel distance along Z . I can still move my head forward / backward inside the cockpit, and when I get to “full stop”, it starts to zoom in! A very cool feature when working with an MFD and when landing!

RE: MotionCap
The same is for active trackhat. FPS and resolution of the used camera matters for any tracker, no matter is it passive or active.
I think PS3Eye will be definitely better than simple notebook’s cam whether you go with LEDs or passive trackhat. -

I’ve tried Aruco and it definitely differs from what I have seen in that demo in terms of tracking quality.

MotionCap
Hi all,
Yesterday I have found interesting headtracking tool called MotionCap on SimMarket. There’s a video on Youtube showing how it works with Falcon BMS 4.35.1.
Did anybody even try that?
It seems by all it gives good and stable 360 degrees of view with affordable angles… and it looks very still when working on consoles. According to developer’s description it works with regular webcams.
Rated as 5-star product… Does anybody have it? Will it work with notebook’s camera? Any feedbacks?
