Problem solved!! So after some more mining of the posts I found where someone had an issue with not being able to click on buttons in the UI. The fix for that and for me was to go back to the desktop icon and in the compatibility tab, re-select the option of allowing full screen optimizations by clearing the check box. This did the trick and now the UI functions properly with respect to being able to click on any and all buttons! So the initial crash problems going into setup was fixed with the steps in my post above by adding the line to the Falcon BMS.cfg file. Then making sure to allow full screen optimizations. I also deleted the dx9display.dsp file in the users/config folder after each display setting change and before reloading BMS. I tried many resolutions higher then a 1920x1080 since my display is 4K UHD capable but certain in game screen text did not display correctly so I think the best settings are to stick with the 1920x1080 and just change the display card output to full display panel versus keeping 16:9 aspect ratio. It stretches the image a bit but its worth viewing the world on the full 65" display! Hope this helps someone!

RE: Crash Entering Setup Menu New Samsung 65" Display
Thank you for your response! I did try that but no joy. I have been searching the posts for anything to try. I also went into the compatibility tab of the desktop icon for BMS and ticked off run as admin and disable full screen opts. No effect. It’s strange. I did not notice it before but the current problem occurs on all of the screens of the UI. If I move my cursor from the top of any screen down towards the bottom, the cursor changes from the little airplane symbol to a pointer. So the top two thirds of any screen can be acted upon. The bottom third is like I went off the UI and the cursor changes to the pointer. The full screen is visible but does not function. It seems to me like a scaling issue. Anyone have a clue?

Crash Entering Setup Menu New Samsung 65" Display
Hello,
I am new to the community and need some help. I installed Falcon BMS 4.34 on my computer and was using a 10 year old 50" Panasonic Plasma TV for the display. Everything worked great! I just purchased and replaced my TV with a new Samsung 65" QLED Q8 model. When I tried to run BMS the program would load to UI screen fine. But when I tried to enter the Setup section the program would crash. I checked the crash log file and found an error for BuildVideoDriverList. I searched the posts and found what I believed to be a fix involving the refresh rates. This new TV has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. As the post suggested I added a line to the Falcon BMS.cfg file that reads set g_bAllowAllRefreshRates 1. This seemed to fix the issue. I am now able to enter the Setup screen without crashing but there is still another issue. I am not able to change any of the options on the right hand side of the screen starting with the Radio Calls Use Bullseye option down to and including the Cancel, Apply and Enter buttons. If I mouse over these options or buttons I am not seeing a highlight marker either. I have to hit the escape button to exit setup screen. The options above Radio Calls Use Bullseye options and the rest of the page seems to work but any changes cannot be applied or entered. So the top half of the page is functional but the bottom half doesn’t work!? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
