    • RE: Three Monitor Problem Again

It worked! It worked! Thank you so much! Arty gave me the answer but I am such a light weight I was not sure what he was talking about. I knew there had to be an answer out there and it was a simple one at that.

Thank you for the response. That is what I am thinking. However things were working until about a week ago when I demolished all apps on my hard drive. But the night before I installed Falcon 4 Windows had a big update. I am thinking that was it. The thing is no other app is having problems.

    • Three Monitor Problem Again

Falcon 4 has been working great until very recently when I decided to reinstall all my software to cleanout my hard drive. I got everything working except that Falcon 4 is not picking up all three monitors. I followed the instructions which were given to me per my post: OldFalcon - Three Monitors - 5/13/2016 at 17:36. The Setup page shows the correct resolution: 5760 X 1200. I changed the Falcon BMS.cfg file. Also tried to delete dx9display.dsp file which is recreated every time I try to run Falcon 4. I set the parameters of my Nvidia Control Panel to Span Displays with Surround. My graphics card is an Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti. All other software uses the three monitors. Thank you.

    • RE: Set TFR to NORM - Betty won't stop telling me to PULL UP

I have copied your list above and posted it next to my computer monitors. I did not know what I was missing now that I am using TFR. Really adds to the sim. I do have a question about how often the air force uses low flying ingress. I remember years ago Chuck Horner, who was in charge of the air campaign in the first Gulf War, said in an interview that someone had to have a really good reason to fly low in a combat situation. He relayed that he had a bad experience flying in Vietnam. Apparently, a flight of 8 planes went in low and only one came out. Thought I would see if you have any thoughts about this before I research the internet. Thanks again for everything.

    • RE: Set TFR to NORM - Betty won't stop telling me to PULL UP

Thanks for the quick response. Can always count on that from you guys. To answer the first post, I am simply going into training mission 8 TFR and following the instructions in the training book. Yes I am pretty much of a novice. I believe Leech has discovered the problem. Although I have not looked into this a great deal yet, I did switch on the Radar altimeter before doing anything else and it worked like a charm. Thanks again.

    • Set TFR to NORM - Betty won't stop telling me to PULL UP

Whenever and whatever I am doing in the Falcon, if I set the TFR to Norm, Betty starts yelling at me to “Pull Up”. Then nothing I do will shut her up. (Haven’t tried crashing yet.) I saw some others (not many) with the same or similar complaint but can’t find a solution. The yellow tfr limits box also flashes in the Flir and TFR MFDs. Any ideas is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    • AutoPilot Not Working - Among Other Things

Things were going fine in 4.33 U2. I was actually starting to get to be somewhat proficient (almost ready to turn the labels and invulnerability off) when the autopilot started to misbehave. I would move the attitude switch (right switch) down and the plane would increase pitch about 10 degrees before settling in on a constant attitude. The pitch (stick) control was also sluggish. Then the jdams would not drop or release. The problem seems to have gotten worse. Now I can not move the autopilot attitude switch down or up at all. This seems to only happen in the campaigns. I tried moving from the Korean to the Balkan campaign and back again and the same problem exists. The only change I made was putting the padlock on enhanced mode per the recommendation of a training video. I put it back to realistic and the problems persist. I hope all this makes sense. I hope the problem is because I accidentally moved some switch that should not have been moved. Thanks in advance.

    • RE: Installation Problem

Johku - Good News! You gave me just enough information to get it done. My setup file was in a zip file and had a different icon until it was extracted.

To anyone who might be reading - My next question is which torrent file do I start with to download the Balkans Theater? I noticed some updates to this theater and was not sure with which file to start.

    • RE: Installation Problem

WeakLink-Sorry to take so long to respond. I thought I would try once again to install U2 after reinstalling the Original Falcon 4 per your original suggestion. No luck this time. Got the same result. As to your last comment I may be more lost than I realized. I am trying to install BMS U2 and I have not done anything with icons on the desktop. I managed to download the Falcon_4.33_BMS_U2_Incremental.Torrent file from which I created the Falcon_4.33_BMS_U2_Incremental application. I moved this to where the Falcon_4.33_BMS_U1_Setup file was and ran it. Does any of this make sense? Perhaps I need to backup and start from scratch. I thought someone may have seen the message “Completed! Running the BMS Setup Program now…” My installation stopped at this point with no error message. Apparently I am pointing to the wrong setup file. The instructions said something about a setup file with a blue icon. The icon I saw on the setup file had a little blue in it but I could not find a setup file with a “blue” icon.

In addition to the problem installing U2, I seem to be unable to load the TGP in the Loadout screen for the U1 application for the Israeli theater for the campaign only. It is there for the instant action and for the Korean theater in U1. For the U1, Israeli campaign the loadout screen-Even if I go immediately into the loadout screen, TGP is listed at the top of the ordinance window but there is no check box. Thanks for any suggestions you may have. I am not expecting miracles. It is amazing how a novice computer user like me can go off on an obscure tangent.
