@drtbkj after reading Vipers in the Storm many years ago, Rosie described a couple different employment of Mavs. My takeaway was 20-12k, 375 or so knots and 5-10 degrees nose down. In ODS they were shooting at 5 or so miles. I guess I’ve just used that strategy since 4.33 and have had great success. Of course with SA15 or the like you may want to be considerably lower and shooting from max range.

@CaptCanada I change loadout to whatever suits the mission. Sometimes the ATO is good…sometimes… not so good. I think it you polled every flyer here you would get close to 100 percent change loadouts…

@Showboat_mass since the dmp is so large, zip up the dmp and txt of the crash and upload it to a cloud service . Provide a link so the devs can look at them. Also, provide a description of what was happening in game when the crash occurred.

I third the motion. I joined in 2016 with 4.33 after many years away. I was a FreeFalcon user Having to learn the Real as it Gets terms and acronyms was a steep curve. Long gone were the days of Lock Target button… Now I had to figure out my TMS from my DMS from the PFL. Hang in there and use the resources available, either through the Friendly Manuals, this Forum, or various Discord servers. And remember, learning is fun!!

@MarcAurel make sure to bind Second Trigger Detent. And you will need to be in Dogfight Override or Ground Strafe. And welcome to BMS!!

@Scotters had the same happen with my new ICP. I assigned the sight to the CONT wheel. First time to ramp, I couldn’t turn it on. So I assigned the on/off to a shifted layer for the FLIR gain rocker on the ICP. Best of both worlds

@tiag thank you, sir. It was quite late when I gathered this last night. I feel I should add to the description. The TGP was in point track of a vehicle with intermittent clouds. Laser was in combat, set to proper code, and ON. With auto set to 11 seconds. SMS of GBU set to After.
