AAR Orgy - BLUE force
Playing with a TE i made to explore different types of aircrafts that use AAR. I will update this subject from time to time.
Several types has graphics issues (connection point) that need to be fixed by the DEV team.Things i found while making the tests :
Each model got its own AAR altitude/speed, so the tanker is changing its alt/speed according to the next aircraft in line.
Kc-10 gives “basket fuel service” only to one aircraft at a time . . . i don’t know if in RL tanker can refuel 2 at the same time . . .
Some models can do the initial connection during the tanker turnning phase and some don’t. All those that made the connection while tanker is flying straight, keep the connection later when tanker turns.
Few models, after they make a successful AAR, get to some distance from tanker and after few minutes ask to refuel again, this time a very short AAR (they almost have max fuel from previous AAR).

HARRIER GR.3, JAGUAR A, JAGUAR GR.3 RAF, KC-10, KC-130H, KC-135E, KC-135R, KDC-10 - All AAR ok.
HARRIER GR.3 - Not sure, but this model should AAR using probe-and-drogue. Here it is done by flying boom (RED CIRCLE in the picture).
JA-37 VIGGEN & MB-339 do not have AAR capabilities, as in RL.

@b0bl00i you can press resuplly for the weapons list + add all missing aircrafts so you have a complete squadron for your own missions.

F-16DG-40 IAF - the boom is too deep . . .
F-16C-32 ROKAF - quote from previous update -
“for some reason the aircraft never reached the refueling area and no communication between him and the tanker. I will check it again and report.”So, i checked it again. This model made 1st AAR with no problem.
After he finished the AAR he got for some distance and after 1min he ask the tanker to refuel again !!!.
The 2nd AAR lasted for 1-2sec and then he disconnected and go out of there.
So this model seems to have chronic problematic behavior in AAR.

RE: Radar Cursor Randomly Stops Working [BEING INVESTIGATED]
Since 4.37.7 (went from U3 direct To U7) i have the FCR/TGP cursor drifting downwards.
I have to DMS up to stop it.
I checked the button in windows game controllers and it is fine. no drifting.
Maybe it is related to the problem described here.

As other have said be happy with this. In fact in RL the accuracy would be much, much, much less. The dispersion of the dumb bomb at such alt. in RL in the hunderds of feet range… This is what I really miss from the sim, the bomb dispersion modeling.
This picture you shared, is it based on RL or SIM ?
As you can see in the picture, 4 X 1 bomb drop each time . . . it is as the system deliberately deny 100% hit

That’s literally why they have dropped thousand upon thousand upon thousands of those things. Because they’re dumb.
I guess if i drop 2/3 bombs at once i will get one of them to hit in the middle of the target (the less dumb one . . .
)

On my campaign missions i always use the fancy bombs to get the best accuracy.
On the TE i just wanted to have some fun with old school bombs.
So you say the results i had is good, this is also fine by me.
The bombs do damage the target each time.
On one instance the 3rd bomb destroyed it (from 10-15ft distance). -

@Icarus i’m still using 4.37.3 because i did lots of changes to different parts of the SIM and i’m currently on the last phase of the campaign. If i was to install U4-5-6 then i have to re-make all those changes . . . and its a lot of changes.
Also, i tried using AL before but i had problem with the mouse. I think that problem was solved in the updated AL in U4-5-6.
When i will finish the campaign i will use the 4.37.6(7?) for sure.
I will take your advice and when i get the VMP i will try first to use again the AL and learn its functions.

`Viper Mission Pack` & target/target scripts
I’m using now 4.37.3 without the AL.
I have the WARTHOG HOTAS and used it for many years with TARGET & TARGET script that i edited.
I ordered the
Viper Mission Pack
. it should arrive in a few days.My question is :
Can i keep using the TARGET & my TARGET script with the new hardware and not use the AL option? -
[4.37.3] Game crash - HeliBrain/GetLandingPosition
Sharing a “bug” i found for DEV team to check it . . .
I just finished my last mission while the game crashed to desktop.
I did some checks for the reason and i found this :
Crash Log file, main problem line is :
" Falcon BMS.exe, HeliBrain::GetLandingPosition()+913 byte(s), E:\BMS\bms-code\SIM\hdigi\h_landme.cpp, line 498+7 byte(s)"Looking in MC i found that the aircraft carrier of the BLUE TF was destroyed by RED forces.
All squadrons on this carrier was deleted autmatically.The flights of some of those squadrons were still on the air when the carrier was destroyed. Mc states that this flights do not have squadrons.
I don’t know if this scenario was fixed in U4-5-6 . . . if so then ignore this info.

Downloaded the 'Gibraltar 4.37.6.1 Full Setup ’ zip file.
It has 2 BIN files but no EXE file.Why is that ?
