Sorry for not reviewing before your new upload, but I do have a few remarks 🙂
Mode C can be useful in BMS 🙂 Some jets have mode C interrogation capability, HAF F-16 for example.
To demonstrate it, you can use a HAF F-16 Block 52. As a target, use AI F-16 in a ‘TRAINING’ type of mission, in a TE. They will enable MC.
MC reply display is a bit different compared to the other modes.
@21:23 : you also need to put the scratchpad on TIM and press ‘0’ (IIRC) to enable TIME automatic changes. Just changing the time criteria of events do not enable TIME right away.
@22:09 : the modes will not ‘toggle’ in a POS event.
If I have M1234 enabled, and I trigger a POS event with M123C enabled in the corresponding POS page :
from your explanation, it can be understood that the active modes switch to M4C.
actually, the active modes switch to M123C.
@24:25ish : in your example, the contacts at 40 NM would get interrogated as well 🙂
LOS reduces the scan volume in azimuth only. A better way to demonstrate would be with an interrogation on the left of the radar screen, with contacts on the right which would not be interrogated.
