the f-14 has the best looking cockpit
its established objective scientific fact
; )
But how many of them had real battles and real enemies, not just victims? Same with F-15 in Iraq… if you just have victims and no real enemies it is easy to make a good markating Shooting down Mig that are running away is like Shooting guys in the back… that is nothing to be proud of…
excuse me??
i think you misunderstood the reason for my post – the guy was saying his son was in tanks - i showed him a cool statistic about how not a single M-1 has been destroyed in battle
yes, we lose humvees and trucks etc to IEDs - but you never hear about a tank being hit ------ i’d say his son is gonna be alright
this isn’t about how much bigger ours is than theirs, ok?
just north of camp pendleton
; )
details of the M-1’s armor is classified
and for good reason
i have it on good authority that our tankers are… “well protected”
those guys are definitely in harm’s way - don’t misunderstand ---- but the M-1 has a lot of advantages on the battlefield
how many tanks have you heard about in iraq/afganistan? how many “other” vehicles
mm-hmm - thought so…
[[ oh wow… googled how many tanks have been destroyed in iraq - got this… [url]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_M1_Abrams
"Nearly all sources claim that no Abrams tank has ever been destroyed as a result of fire from an enemy tank, but some have certainly taken some damage which required extensive repair. "
heh! think the F-15C has a great combat record?? try the M-1!!
i think your son will be just fine senor hammer ]]
hey, here’s a question…
is there a meaningful difference between FSSB R1 and R2?
what if you could get a TM-Cougar w/ R1 at a discount - ??
alright - great summary
thx
i had seen the FSSB and FCC3 - wasn’t sure what other options were out there…
this helps me decide my next course of action
i’m looking to mod a TM Cougar to the “force sensing” internals
what kind of guidance is available
TIA
