It would be very nice if a way was found to allow the AI to use a plane’s gun to attack ground targets. This way if flying the A-10, the wingmen could use the A-10’s gun. ATM it seems only human pilots can do this.

RE: Guam Beta Release
Aaahhh, ok, I understand.
Well no matter what, the Guam theater so far is really nice, and I am glad it was made. So keep up the good work. And thanks a lot for all your effort!

RE: Guam Beta Release
Hello. The Guam Theater is great… I have been having fun setting up all kinds of training AA ops. One question: How do you get a F-15C instead of the F-15 Aggressor in the TE aircraft menu?

RE: Iff you could have one thing in the next update it would be. (Archive)
It would be nice to have some civilian aircraft available to use. I can think of many interesting TE that can be built; intercepting and policing civilian traffic, etc. Also… Air Force One… it would be nice to escort it. And in a campaign, having civilian traffic in some areas might bring interesting problems…

RE: HMCS on F-15?
Ok… silly question… and I know I will get flack for asking it: I remember seeing the has HMS flag for planes in Freefalcon 6… how come there is no HMS actually in the cockpit and in BMS we have? I am wondering from a learning point of view; I like to learn new things.

RE: HMCS on F-15?
Thanks a lot Cloud 9. Much appreciated.
One questions, why do I need to press Recalculate?

RE: HMCS on F-15?
Thanks for the hint! It worked.
Also… I noticed today it was in one of the manuals, page 100…

HMCS on F-15?
Hello,
I was wondering if there is any “easy” way to implement a HMCS for the F-15C? I was checking it out, has a nice cockpit and everything, but no HMCS… and since F-15C these days do have it, was wondering if it can be brought into BMS?
Thanks.

RE: Getting AI wingemen to drop bombs when told to do so?
Duh! Of course! Yeah, I painted the area around KOTAR all red, and now the wingmen are dropping their bombs…
Is there any way to force them to drop ALL their bombs in one pass?
Thanks!

Getting AI wingemen to drop bombs when told to do so?
Hello.
I am wondering if there is any specific procedure to make the wingemen drop/attack a specific point in the ground. I have been trying, for example, to get them to drop bombs at the Kotar range by targeting with my radar the range and giving them the order to atack my target. But the only response I get is “Negative”. Anyone has any suggestions?
Thanks!

How to change the types of aircraft available in a Theater?
Hello.
I forgot which file one had to edit to make the list of aircraft that appear on a theater. I remember it was a single file, and it was just a matter of erasing (or adding) the name of the plane type so it would not appear (or do appear) on a theater; specifically on the TE Editor menu when adding air units. Does anyone know which file is it?
Thanks.

RE: A10 Flight control issue
Uhmmm… that is a really good idea Mav-jp… I am going to try it, never crossed my mind.
What do you scarify with simplified flight modeling? Stalls?

RE: A10 Flight control issue
I have tried everything in BMS! The F-15 “feels” really good… but of course, I have never flown one in RL, so I am going by “feel”. A bit overpowered though… have you read this interview TAC1-1?:
http://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/how-to-win-in-a-dogfight-stories-from-a-pilot-who-flew-1682723379
If you like the F-15, you might find it interesting.
I am more of a ground-pounder, so I tend to gravitate towards mud-movers. I like the F-15E a lot, even if it uses the F-16’s cockpit… (still, it feels a bit “over-powered”). And these days, with the discussion to pass a lot of the duties of the A-10s to the F-15Es, I am starting to fly it more often.
Well, everyone, thanks for the enlightening discussion, I have understood a bit better why the A-10 flys the way it does in BMS… it seems that maybe someday someone could look into the A-10 data and “fix” it a bit more to give us A-10 lovers a better plane. Cheers!

I have. I like Falcon BMS better, specifically for the theaters and wingmen commands available…

RE: A10 Flight control issue
Well, the benefit of working mission on an A-10 instead of a regular F-16 is that “you are on an A-10”. It is psychological: Most of it is a mix of aesthetic and the pure joy of escapism fantasy… I like the A-10 better than the F-16, so in my 2 hours of fun I dedicate to a mission in BMS, I would enjoy more the feeling that I am an A-10 pilot than a F-16 pilot. Isn’t this the reason why we fly our computers in the virtual skies?
I have been flying the Falcon series since Falcon AT, so if there is something I have learned over the years is that the true attribute of a Falcon fan is patience. I am sure eventually BMS or some other flavor of Falcon will deliver the ultimate Falcon A-10 experience.
I don’t want anyone to think I am giving the finger to the BMS team, they have done a great job, and I know the sim IS ABOUT the F-16. But… it would be so much fun to be able to fly the A-10, the ugly duckling in the AF family of tac jets.

RE: A10 Flight control issue
And was the NFBW experiment sucessful (besides the woobliness)???
Is it possible to make an alternate “not-as-real”, “still-basically-F-16” FM for the A-10?
Of course, it is obvious, that BMS’ FMs are just modifications to the F-16’s FM. All the other planes are just F-16 in different costumes. Is there really anyone with the skills and time and resources to make new, F-16 free, FMs for BMS? Probably not.
But even within this limitation, an A-10 FM would come out good enought in comparition to 90% of other combat flight simulators (I can only think of one that is probably better for the A-10’s FM…). The combat enviroment of BMS is a great opportunity to fly A-10 type of missions.
The only issue I see with the A-10 (besides the experimental NFBW FM) is the fact that wingmen can not use the Avenger gun against ground targets. And even then, I still would love to fly the A-10 in BMS if it could be made a bit more stable.

RE: A10 Flight control issue
I understand it is not fully implemented… except for the F-16, is there any other plane in a shape to be considered fully implemented?
It is a shame, it has a 3D cockpit already (which most plane don’t have), and seems to have a resonable FM… except for the trim/woobly control issue. It would be very nice if it could be made more stable? Any ideas why it is so “shaky”?

RE: A10 Flight control issue
I am having the same issue… the A-10 seems to be incapable most of the time to be trimmed properly. I write “most of the time”, because sometimes it trims properly a bit. Now, this has nothing to do with how realistic or fine everything works. You should be able to release the stick (on a properly trimmed plane) and the aircraft should fly straight and leveled. The A-10 can not do so in F BMS. (And I have checked my stick and key setup, and it is all working fine with other planes, for example the F16 and the Mirage. And I have also tried balancing the load-outs).
If someone can trim this plane, please, tell us how to do it. Because I can’t…
I think the A-10 in Falcon BMs looks great and it would be amazing to be able to fly it without it going all over the pace like a drunken sailor. And I don’t want to fly the “other sim either”, since I prefer BMS. Anyone has any suggestions?
