You may be lazing the target too soon. The LGB releases under CCRP conditions which means it will carry forward momentum towards the target while falling, following an arc enroute to target. Lazing too early or even from time of release will cause the weapon to point and fly towards the target…giving it a direct trajectory to the target and the bomb will fall short due to this effect. Try a shorter laze time…the default time usually works very well…I think it’s set at 8 seconds.

RE: Smokey's CH profile
File has been uploaded again at http://www.72ndvfw.org/forum/m/5688083/viewthread/25009347-ch-profile-for-bms-433/post/last#last due to an error with the trigger causing the gun to not fire…which could be hazardous to your health in combat when Winchester!
Sorry for the error.

RE: Ch manager and falcon bms 4.33 setup
Also make sure you download the profile into your HOTAS from CH Manager as simply saving the profile does nothing.
To verify when in CH Manager check what command is assigned to a particular button press for one of those that isn’t coming up properly. If your CH manager shows a button press of / but in Falcons keyfile it shows CTL A, u can change your CH profile to match the keyfile. (or vice-versa but changing your profile is generally easier so you don’t “steal” a keybinding from another command).

RE: Ch manager and falcon bms 4.33 setup
For a created profile you will most likely need a keyfile with it. Chances are the person who created the profile did not always use the exact key bindings that Falcon has set up, and if he did there are so many “extras” that you can program it’s possible certain keyfile commands don’t always have a keybinding assigned. If you program it yourself from “stock” settings you can go into the Falcon settings and program via button push yourself, but a CH profile with “stock” BMS keyfile is likely not going to happen. Smokey's CH profile
I have recreated my Falcon profile for 4.33 and it can be found at http://www.72ndvfw.org/forum/m/5688083/viewthread/25009347-ch-profile-for-bms-433/post/last#last
Please feel free to give any feedback as I’ve been far too busy with a pregnant gf, home renovations and although I have strived to ensure accuracy, there’s always the possibility that something requires correcting. Please keep in mind that this profile is designed the way I like it but want to share it as there doesn’t appear to be many CH profiles out there. If anyone needs help installing or modifying the profile to suit their needs, please just shoot me a pm so I get an email notification.
Cheers,
Smokey

RE: 72nd VFW/55th VTS Open Flight Night
Hey Rook. We will have another one or two…stay tuned! With that said, once a class is selected, 55th flight nights will transition to training and “open” flights will become scarce until that class is wrapped up.
Cheers!

RE: 72nd VFW/55th VTS Open Flight Night
Hi ASharpe, the flights are primarily structured towards recruiting and the missions are not overly difficult. They are geared towards getting to know new recruits but with that said we have never turned anyone away from flying with us so if you aren’t interested in joining our Wing and simply want to fly with us feel free to sign up.

72nd VFW/55th VTS Open Flight Night
The 72nd’s training squadron-55th VTS will be hosting a flight this Saturday and it is geared towards giving potential new recruits an opportunity to fly with us prior to applying to our Wing. We will be starting a new IFT class this spring…date TBA. These flights are designed to allow a potential member a chance to fly and talk with us prior to applying so they have a chance to see if we are a good fit for them and vice-versa. Its important to note that we are no longer a dual-membership Wing.
If you are interested in learning more about us please visit www.72ndvfw.org and feel free to ask any questions you have. If you are interested in becoming a member and would like to fly with us this Saturday please have a look at our calendar and sign up for the event. If you have never done an online flight before please ask for assistance on our forums so we can test your connectivity prior to the event.
Blue skies and tailwinds,
Smokey
