      Saitek/Logitech quality is a lottery. Luck vs No Luck.

      My X55 throttle died a slow death within 2 1/2 years. 100 refund due to extra warranty. after all a cheap deal 🆒

      Logitech’s service is good. Got a new x52 pro replaced within a few months and did not had to send in the defective unit.
      The new unit is butterly smooth, must be fabricated on a different planet.

    • RE: X55 keyfile -BMS -Full DX Programmed

      ok back to basics. restart windows.
      detach any other game controllers then saiteks x56
      check windows devices properties of x56 and verify that all buttons work> if not re-install saitek drivers per instructions given
      continue if device=ok

      saitek….make sure no other profile is active in SST, or load the included in my package
      set g_nHotasPinkyShiftMagnitude 256 verify this in BMS .cfg
      check devicesorting to be correct (devicesorting.txt \config )
      in BMS reload keyfile (i.e. the x55 one provided in package)
      if not sorted re-install BMS.

      @hawkdakilla:

      Thanks guys! I’ll keep getting TrackIR in my mind - I’ll try the Opentrack solution first i guess.

      But now I’ve noticed another strange behavior. Couldn’t get my head around first - but now I noticed that the HOTAS is reverting to some “basic mode” everytime I press the pinkyshift button. Afterwards the POV Stick really acts as a POV stick and not as TMS anymore. Everything else stoppes working except for the Throttle and Stick axis. And it’s not revertable ingame.

      Is this a known issue?

      perhaps it is a releasing order issue.
      you probably release pinkey before releasing the "key’ (whatever it is) . so press pinkey press “key”, then release “key” , release pinky.

      beacause the thumb on stick is an axis you cannot assign keys to it. Should work though with saitek programming and assigning “bands” to it.
      I would go for trackir, if monney is an issue try searching this forum or the net for cheap alternatives

      cheers

      I bought a delanclip and it works just fine, much better then TIR 4 with reflector.

      try unplugging the xbox

      verify “set g_nHotasPinkyShiftMagnitude 256” //config// Falcon BMS.cfg

      check your x-55 device buttons work correctly in windows
      if that does not help I suggest do a clean re-install and do it all over.
      good luck

      check DeviceSorting.txt in config folder for device order. what’s the content?

      edit: also verify correct usage of the pinky shift command syntax: press the pinky button, press/release desired command, release pinky button……

      @JonONeill:

      Is there an update for this to 4.34.2 that was released in December?

      Some of this works but other things don’t. For example, Idle Detent on SW2 of the throttle does nothing. I’m brand new to this mod, having it a couple of days, and I really don’t understand how to edit the keyfile myself as it’s very confusing.

      What makes you think that things don’t work? I assume you were referring to trigger detent, and not idle detent ? What else is not functioning and how did you came to that conclusion ?
      Keyfile editing … if you really want to go your way try learning to master the included keyfile editor in BMS.

      The shifted (i.e pinky) functions only work in cockpit and not in UI. Do not save keyfile in UI.
